    Jet airways and Mumbai airport!!

Just returned from a months holiday in the UK (well 8 days extra) and flow with Jet airways connecting through Mumbai. I was travelling with my wife and 2 young sons.
Overall Jets airways are a 2 star airline: Planes dirty and looking worn out, food shite, staff are rude and lazy and they are never on time!!
Mumbai airport is where you will connect, they offer very short transfer times ( 1 to 2 hours) but except at least 3 to 4 hours due to the security checks in that shit-hole of an airport MUMBAI.
Taking the morning flight from Heathrow we arrived in Mumbai at around midnight, the pilot told us of a back log of flights waiting to land.Landed an hour late to be meet with the sight of 4000 other transit passengers trying to get through security checks.
It took us just under 3 hours following a line of people to get through the security check!! As i was travelling with a 2 year old and a 4 year old, no fucking special queue for families with children or old people.
They just stood there fucking smiling as kids screamed and cried and old people fainted while in the queue. Finally we got there and found they ONLY have 3 x-ray machines for the whole fucking transit area!!
So anyone thinking of using Jet airways, i wouldn't!! anything thinking about going through Mumbai, i wouldn't. Both are SHITE.............
I guess i get what i paid for?? I have now learned that lesson the hard way.....

    Cheers

P.S- anyone have a smiliey with an Indian flag burning???

Mumbai Airport has been the pits for a long time. Thought they were doing renovations, though?

Flew with Jet before and although the airline itself was fine, I had a nightmare in Mumbai airport with my pregnant friend and very unhelpful staff. Argh.

Problem now is that the cheapest tickets (bangkok to London) are with Jet or Kingfisher, both of which transit in Mumbai.
The flight I'm looking at for going home next month has just a 1 hour transit time, does anyone think this will actually be enough?? Or will I end up missing the flight to London and getting stuck in Mumbai?! God forbid!!

went with them recently and found the staff most helpfull. They meet you off one plane and personally escourt you to the transit area and security. The guy even wrote down the departure gate on my ticket without being asked. If you go into a toilet an attendant bows and flushes the bog then after hands you a towel, seemigly not for tips. Where else do you get this service? Mumbai might have the od power cut and be a little disorganised but I found it nicer than swampy or heathrow. I had 40 mins transit time and that was enough time so an hour should be plenty. jet food is absolutely the best of any airline I have been on but they can be stingy with the drinks. Hated the cramped plane to and from India.
