I presume your fiancé is coming over on a fiancé visa? If thats the case, then she is unable to work until you are married, and she has obtained an FLR visa.
My advise would be, to get her learning the "Life in the UK" material, ready for the test
I aint superstitious, but I know when somethings wrong

Generally near the minimum wage (5.75ph) and often with shift work inlcuding weekends and nights.

She could try cleaning. A friends wife makes 1000k a month doing that privately at 7.00ph and no tax (I presume).

Nice reference Doodles, outside of the employment opportunities associated with the SOAS, they've a fantastic research library.

As other people have said, her language skills will be paramount. If she is knowledgable in commerce it might be worth researching English companies that manufacture or trade in Thailand and approaching those organisations based on her ability to communicate with both sides. Or approach Thai companies that export to the UK (Red Bull as an eg) and see if they can use her abilities.

On a small scale a bit of import export might keep her occupied while she works to finding a more permanent job (although the pounds more likely to favour sending stuff to Thailand rather than bringing stuff to the UK at the minute)

    Cheers

In the past I've done stuff like importing clothes from the markets round BKK and selling it on Ebay.

I know of people who do stuff like import silk or arts and craft, wooden elephants (not rare hardwoods like) and sell it at craft fairs.

There's not the spare cash floating about in the UK that there was two or three years ago so it's not as easy as it was but i'm sure there will be something you could find.

    'lin hell !!!!

Stuff that I could buy for pound, ship for a pound and sell for a tenner now costs 2 quid to ship and £1.50 to send because of the exchange rate and sells for 3 or 4 quid if at all.

There's £24 quid in my paypal account and I'm trying to get a little gang together who can chuck in and buy a rifle to shoot Gordon Brown with.

    Cheers
