Fancy that with your partner, daughter and 20kg luggage each?

I'd be sitting in the front seat of the Grab telling the driver how unhealthy his occupation is.

    Just do what I said.

    Book the Rama Gardens.

You're less than 10 minutes from the airport in a joe and it's straight in and straight out.

    Tiried and tested pal.

We left the hotel at 7 and were in the 2nd greatest country on earth, Cambodia, by 9.30.

Just make sure you stay off the beer the day before.

Today I finally got the nok website to cooperate and managed to change the timing of the udon flight to 1.45 or thereabouts. I was pretty happy about that. It seems the app/ website doesn't like the phone. Done it on the kids computer. That got me thinking about the hotel options and I went with the Amari. 2 rooms for $201 dollars and that's aussie $ so it's not worth fuck all anyway. Like AO said . Sometimes you've just gotta bite the bullet. Guaranteed I'm not gonna be grinning like a large Alsatian after this airasia thing but fuck it . Gotta treat ourselves right
It's hard enough already. Plus the amari is perfect. Just wake up kick the shark biscuits out of bed and cross the walkway. No need to fuck around with somchai the taxi driver. Pumps fist in air.yeah

The rama Gardens does indeed look good but fuck me I've gotta stop short changing myself. $201 seemed a lot for a few hours but it's actually only a session at a pub here in perth

I'm forced to have a night and a day in bali to. That wasn't the plan either before air fucking Asia fucked up.all kinds of shit.. I'm also having 4 nights there on the way back in January I have booked digs for that but now that reminds me I better get googling somewhere for that 1 night now. Goddam all these changes have fucked my meticulous planning. . That's how I roll
I like to have all my ducks in a Rowe. And I did. Fook airasia

Have you looked at flight perth to sydney followed by direct sydney to bangkok on air asia?
Way you have it now seems way to complicated and with hotels bet more expensive.

The problem.with that is its still air Asia I'm still gonna spend unnecessary hours in the air and in transit
Plus get fucked over on luggage etc. Then there's the time in Aussie airports where you get your pants pulled down again. Nah. My original booking was actually pretty smooth but within 2 days of booking the fucker they changed the schedule on 2 of those flights. Plus I've got one out of vientiane to Don muang that's useless also.

Have you looked at routing to Laos through another country other than Thailand?

We actually want some beach/ seafood time and we wanted to take the kids through Bali for that. I could of gone through Jakarta to but that place is a headfuck, I wouldn't put myself through that shit with kids in tow. Airasia perth via Kuala Lumpur was also a reasonable option before covid but now it seems in the hard basket. Like I said before I would be way more flexible but with kids and the wife I really gotta get shit square

Looked at it until I was cross eyed. Hard . There's 4 of us. It's actually not that damn far away but I've gotta get us all there and still have money left for a holiday. It's fucked up. I sure wish Thai would come back. As for Qantas. I'm not even gonna talk about them shitbirds

Very limited options from Perth although Japan Airlines have started direct. Again have to get to vientiane.. if I was on my own I'm sure there would be a hell of a trip report. But all my expenses are x 4

I'm really pissed of that philippine airlines only decided to fly out of Perth direct to Manila AFTER covid. I used to have to go everywhich way to get up there see bibi gka Betty. Things could of turned out different. No regrets though. Will probably do a philippine trip mid year. Still think it's an under rated country. Miss it actually

^Have you checked Cebu Pacific airline? It's also a budget airline but it's OK for short flights. They have flights to Oz but not sure where. But for sure, they have flights MNL to BKK.

Pre covid, there was also a KL to Vientiane flight - that's what I took to visit VTE. Have you checked Air Asia: Perth to KL to VTE?

To late Katie.. I'm locked into.this air Asia thingo. The kl.to vte still doesn't exist as far as I know ..it used to work out great
Covid is still getting the blame but as far as I can see it's just greed on behalf of airlines trying to claw back losses incurred and succeeding spectacularly.. Qantas just retired this Irish shirtlifter that sacked everybody during covid yet he walked away with 21 million $ that's fucked up
And Qantas are taking a beating for it now from the public outrage but pretty sure they won't give a fuck.. pretty sure all these assholes have us over a barrell and they are loving it

^when I went to VTE via KL, it was a direct flight - no layover in BKK - but then that was pre covid. Maybe by Christmas next year, there will be direct KL to VTE flights again.

If you plan to go to PH next year, check PAL or Cebu Pacific if they have flights direct to Cebu (if you want to visit the Visayas region & skip Manila). AFAIK there's a Manila to Sydney flight via CP but that was pre covid - don't know their flights & schedules now for down under. There are also Manila - Bali flights via CP.

Safe travels to you & your family.
