No, but the show did go on about how the military have never been brought to account for the atrocities it has done over the years and how they always get away with murder.

The show also claimed (via anonymous interviews with DSI investigators) that the DSI chief ordered that any case which is difficult to prove who shot who that the blame would be place totally on the black shirts.

^ Ah. Not balanced and impartial reporting then. Shame, I thought the BBC was mostly getting better now-a-days.

Fergal Keane made a good job of reporting, i felt. Its a shame the programme was so short.

What injustice has happened? I was in Los Angeles during the Rodney King riots, which were suppressed much more quickly and violently than the Bangkok protests (riots) were. You riot, burn and loot and you get shot, the only thing the Thai Government did was wait too long to do it.

Well, for the military and their buddies in the DSI - that party is over.

If this show was shown in Thailand does anyone think it would go down well or just be a ''falang criticise my country'' attitude?

I know it wouldn't ever be shown but just wondering.

I watched it last night and found it very informative.
With the restrictions of law and fear removed, the programme put things clearly into perspective.

I also thought it was worth watching. However I dont think I learned anything new though.

No, nothing at all.

^&^^No, but it did give a fairly impartial, good chronology of what went down in one (very) concise programme-which hasnt been done before.

Not everyone followed the minutae of events as they unfolded on internet forums, and this documentary would have been an eye opening one for many regular or potential visitors to Thailand. I followed events fairly closely but still found it worth watching and it is a good piece of documentary footage collated together for reference.

This saga is not yet complete, more events are yet unfold to change Thailand irrevocably. I think Thailand will be a whole different animal 10 or even 5 years from now. Maybe for the better of locals and/or "guests", maybe not, who knows...but change is most definitely afoot and the end result will be a "different" Thailand to the one we know and love/hate.

Just enjoy it while it lasts.

I do hope the new judiciary put in place as a result of the countries newly restored democracy , and rejection of the PAD yellow amart clowns, have also seen this programme and can now sentance the oppressors junta.
