Bystander Killed in Drive-by Attack on Technical College Alumnus

A 44-year-old man was shot dead last night in a drive-by attack on an alumnus of technical college.
Police from Prachachuen police station, along with officers from the Scientific Crime Detection Division, rushed to inspect the body of a 44-year-old man, Anocha Kerdmuang in front of a convenience store on Bangkok-Nonthaburi Road.
Anocha was found dead with a bullet hole that went straight through his heart.
Twenty-year-old Wasurot Wilaiwan was shot in his right leg and sent for treatment at Bang Po Hospital.
An initial investigation revealed that four teenagers, wearing helmets, on two motorcycles, were shooting at the injured man and his friend who were riding on another motorcycle on Bangkok-Nonthaburi Road.
The victim, Anocha, was hit by one of the shots that was fired during a drive-by attack while shopping at a convenience store with his wife.
Police suspect that the gunmen are students from a famous technical school in Dusit District and have determined that Wasurot is an alumnus from Lerd Boon Technical School.
Further investigations are being carried out in an effort to bring the culprits to justice.
