BLACK DRUG DEALER LEAPS FROM ROOF TO ESCAPE ARREST IN PATTAYA
After a tip off about a proposed drugs delivery ,on 8 June 2009, a black footballer who was also a dealer was apprehended by police, but he leapt off the roof of a four-storey building in a bid to escape. The people to whom the drugs were being delivered were caught in possession and were arrested.
At 9.00pm, on 8 June 2009, Pol.Lt.Col. Sutham Chowsrithong, Pattaya Deputy Superintendent, received a tip off that a foreign man would be delivering some Yah Ice to a room with no number in the New Lengee Building, Soi 17, near Sophon Market, Pattaya Third Road. He then ordered Pol.Mjr. Apichanun Wattana Warangkul and his team to attempt to stop the transaction and apprehend those involved.
At the 4-storey building, police saw a black man carrying a shoulder bag, walking up to the second floor. A police officer produced his ID Card and asked to search the man’s bag. The black man was taken completely by surprise and ran up to the fourth floor roof-deck. With the police hot in pursuit, the man then just leapt off the roof and plummeted to the ground. He was examined and was found to be suffering from a head wound, and scratched legs, with a few wounds about his body.

Police searched the man who was identified as Mr. Bongani Khumallo, [28], from the Republic of Zimbabwe. In his bag, police found 4 bags of Yah Ice, weighing 4 grams, an Irish FC football ID card and many other documents. The man was then taken to Banglamung Hospital.
In the room that the drug dealer had been going to, police found three Thai women: Miss Narumon Kunartsri, [27], the room owner, from Roi-Et, Miss Chonthicha Hongsawat, [27] from Panusnikom, Chonburi and Miss Suppanet Choomhirun, [29], from Cha-Cherng Sao, with a 1 gram bag of Yah Ice. Police took them all to the police station and checked their urine and all tested positive, displaying the color purple in it.

Miss. Narumon confessed that she had ordered 5 bags of Yah Ice from Mr.Bongani Khumallo, who was a Bangkok resident. She said she had been introduced to Mr.Bongani Khumallo by another foreign friend recently. Miss. Narumon said she had, in turn, been supplying the drug to bar girls in Pattaya and it gave her more money than working. The other two women in her room were her customers, who had been waiting for their goods.
Pol.Lt.Col. Sutham said they would investigate Khumallo when he recovered sufficiently. The police also revealed that Khumallo, a soccer player, had been operating this business for quite sometime. Most of his customers were people in Bangkok and Pattaya.
The police said they would do their utmost to rid the country of all these foreign drug dealers.
