The ban wouldn't have had that much effect on tourism.

Numbers are still dropping due to the strength of the Baht and the global economic situation.

They alienated the budget market which is traditionally their bread and butter.

Ideas above their station: thought they were a "World Class Tourism Destination" as well...

People will get pissed hundreds will be killed or maimed on the roads, many as the result of wanton acts of vandalism, I.e, throwing water at moving motorcycles, 4 year old kids running out onto roads to do so while Mum & Dad get plastered on Lao Kao.
Its Thailand, Politicians & authorities flap their mouths but do nothing, because they don't care, after all its only the peasants who have to sit in the back of a pickup for hours while they travel on the dangerous roads to visit the country.

Are we doing a sweepstake this year?

    Paypal?

Winnings to the poster who gets closest to the number of deaths without going over?

Boy you have got that shit right my friend.
There have been a few good life saving laws put up since I have been here and not a one ever even acknowleged by the Royal Thai Police, must be because they only do for the Royalty and not the country, seems so at least.
They answer only to the King and he don't give a fuck either.
