Jomtien - English man jumps to his death at View Talay 2.

English man jumps to his death at View Talay 2.

In the early hours of Wednesday Morning, Police Major Anuchaert from Dongtan Police Sub-Station located on Jomtien Beach was called to View Talay Condominium 2, Building B to investigate a case of suspected suicide. At the base of the building, the body of Mr. Malcolm Roland Jackov aged 56 from England who was known to be staying on the 12th Floor of the apartment block was found. There is a suggestion that he may have jumped from the 16th floor although this has not been confirmed. Security Guards were alerted by a crashing sound and discovered the body of Mr. Jackov who was known to drink heavily on a daily basis. Pictures inside his room showed him with a Thai woman and for now Police theorize that a relationship issue may be the motive behind the suspected suicide. The British Embassy in Bangkok are aware of the case.

Drunk and fell or was pushed in order to be robbed by a ho. I am sure that 90% of these cases are not suicide.

Poor man. Do they really have to show these pics (pixellated or not)? The close up of the medallion is beyond the pale.

    RIP.

If I was ever going to think of a way to end it all, jumping off a building would not be it ! Apart from the sheer balls it would take and the terror of the whole thing, there is a small chance you may survive and be really fucked up!

Whats wrong with a bottle of whisky and 100 sleeping pills ?

I do not think many of these are suicides at all !!!

The police are lazy knuts and have to do minimal investigation if they can label it as a jumper

Maybe someone should start a suicide pledge thread, ie stating whether they would be willing to jump from a building, if they state they are not willing and then hit the papers as a jumper it may make it a bit obvious that that one was not a suicide.

Maybe TAT should start issuing parachutes to arriving male tourists as well as whistles to the females?

I think I would jump as I believe it's more foolproof than guns or drugs.
But 20 floors would be my minimum. It takes a second or two to reach terminal velocity. Once there, you're practically a shoe-in.

My wife said she wouldn't push me at any floor under 13.

You guys in Pattaya been spendin' most your lives, livin in a jumpers paradise. It's easy to see how people go over the edge here: beautiful girls, drunken days and nights, and brokenhearts. Someone should start selling t-shirts there that say something like - Don't jump - she's not worth it.

Jackov is not the best of last names nowadays. RIP

^As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I take a look at my life and realize there's nothing left
Cause I've been whoring and teaching so long that
Even my mama thinks that my mind is gone

But I ain't never taught a kid that didn't deserve it
He be treated like a punk, you know that's unheard of
You better watch how you talking, and where you walking
Or you and your farangs might be lined in chalk

I agree. Dignity in death? The close-up is uncalled for.

I've never gotten used to those death shots. The Phuket airplane crash last year had some horriffic, identifiable face shots of mangled corpses.

I hate it. There is no dignity, but why should we expect that here when there's precious little integrity, honesty, reality?

I go wobbly looking at pictures like this.
I went up the Blackpool tower once, never again.
    I am sure I couldn't do a jump.

Maybe TAT should stick a parachute and a whistle in any of their employees ass to show them what a looser country they are living in.

At the rate old codgers are dropping of roofs around Pattaya its seems to me the biggest risk to personal safety is getting twatted on the head by one of them.
