It's cooled down to a balmy 35 degrees in Korat today, with the promise of 'storms coming'...

Apparently there was a light, ten minute shower yesterday.

I've just had the weekend in Pak Chong / Khao Yai where it was noticeably cooler and breezier, around 4 degrees cooler in fact. And we had huge downpours yesterday. I could have happily stayed down there.

Same as yesterday here west of Udon Thani, though it was a little cooler early am, anticipated winds and storms noticeably absent!
Unusual for TMD to be so inaccurate

Strong winds and rain in Don Muang at about 2pm. Temperature has dropped from 36 to 30 with drizzling and a nice breeze.

    Lower AQI than London, though.

And they have TD hero Sadiq Khan on their side.

So Chitty will be watching closely.

Well the rain came at last. We had a nice hour of relatively heavy rain. The first in a while. The farmers cheered

You probably don't have a view from your village hovel, but normally it's high in the clouds - there's that too - but there are some spectacular strikes going on.

even were it true punching down isn't cricket as any gentleman will aver.

As for strikes had the gunners been better targeted the slot machine would not have confounded them.

As part of a rural shower if you wish to see a real hovel see my humble abode but as the old saying goes the value of the dwelling is in the dweller.

Easy to find you'll spot the gardener sweeping up Timtam wrappers and the valets dogging by the visitor's pool.

You're lucky, we barely got drizzle that could almost be described as "high humidity" and now it's warming up again.

Bring me some of those thunderstorms please.

    31 degree peak today
Lots of rain here overnight and more to come a fan free night and lower forecast soon into mid 20s amd lots of rain but back up again after this weekend.
Purely subjective but it has been hotter on averge this year than any of last 20 years here.

Well there's another firework display in the sky tonight, covering probably 100 degrees of the horizon to the south (again), with a burst every 1-2 seconds.

    Spectacular to watch.

    Dunno if it's moving though.
