    Thai woman missing in Switzerland

The Thai Embassy in Bern, Switzerland, has asked for help in locating a Thai woman who lost contact with her family in late April.

The embassy issued the request in a Facebook post on May 21, asking for any information about the whereabouts of Nuntiwa Sae Jiew, nicknamed “Noon”, who went to Switzerland with her foreign friend in early April.

The last contact between her and her sister was on April 27.

The Embassy said that information about the missing woman, who holds a Swedish passport, can be sent via the Embassy’s Facebook messenger account or the emergency telephone number: +41 (0) 79 8642674.

Her family has filed a missing person report with Interlaken police.

Nuntiwa’s disappearance became public after her sister, using her Facebook account “Fon’mama Dumbbell”, asked for help to locate her.

In her post, the sister said that Nuntiwa went to Switzerland with her boyfriend, whom she met through an application and has known for only a month.

    Thai-Swedish woman missing in Switzerland

The Thai family of a missing 32-year-old Thai-Swedish woman has filed a missing persons report in Switzerland as no one has heard from the woman since 27 April 2024. Nantiwa Saejiw allegedly left Thailand with her US boyfriend, who she had met just a few days earlier on a dating app.

The woman’s family has grown increasingly concerned after they have learned that the 40-year-old American boyfriend has been charged with illegally detaining a woman against her will. Nantiwa Saejiw apparently told her family, that she was preparing to get married and live in the US only three days after she left Thailand.

A few days before disappearing, Nantiwa Saejiw contacted her family, asking them to transfer 340 Thai baht to her, but she didn’t explain what the money was to be used for. Three days later, in the last contact with the family, she allegedly said that everything was alright. Since then, the family has not been able to contact her and her social media channels have gone silent.

The family is very concerned for Nantiwa Saejiw as she has an underlying medical condition and didn’t have any money, when she left Thailand.

The Royal Thai Embassy in Bern is involved in the search of the woman. She travelled into Switzerland with her Swedish passport, which she obtained because she has previously been married to a Swede for four years.

The embassy is currently reaching out to the public, including Thai expats in Switzerland. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the embassy’s Facebook account or the following emergency telephone number: +41(0)79 8642674

Perhaps they mean 340k or 340M?

certainly curious. A moneyless woman meets a man on an app and travels with him to Europe after a month. A few days later plans to get married.

I think I’ve heard this story before.

That is more the truth MK. Any chance to go they take it. They use their looks and nab a foreigner. He takes them back to their home country so they think they have won the lotto only to find out that many of the men are weird.

Well, I read somewhere on here this morning that the average income for agricultural workers is 7,000 baht a month.

Who can blame someone in such circumstances for taking the risk, hoping the beau turns out to be Prince Charming.

She had a Swedish passport, which presumably means access to one of the best welfare systems on the planet.

This sounds like more greed than anything.

9 Euros, Swiss Francs or US dollars? Enough for the bus to the airport or a cup of coffee in the airport?

By the sounds of it the poor woman is not the full shilling and has been lured into some scam.

Thai woman missing in Switzerland found

Nuntiwa Sae Jiew, or “Noon”, a Thai woman thought to have gone missing in Switzerland last month, has been found.

The Facebook post by the Royal Thai Embassy in Bern reads; “Today (May 24, 2024), The Royal Thai Embassy in Bern would like to announce that Khun Noon’s family has been contacted by the police. She and her friend, who is of another nationality, have been found. She is safe and sound. The two left Switzerland some time ago. The embassy would like to thank everyone who helped share our missing person notice and gave us useful information to locate her.”

The original missing person notice was posted by the Thai Royal Embassy in Bern, Switzerland on May 21.

Noon had not contacted her family since April 27, which led to them filing a missing person report with Interlaken police.

The story spread online when her sister posted that Noon had gone to Switzerland with her friend, whom she met online and had known for only one month.
