Thread: Sattahip Man Found Dead in Possible Heatstroke Case

A 52-year-old Thai man was found dead at a village in the Sattahip district of Chonburi on April 16th, 2024. Police suspected the man might have died from a heatstroke.


The tragedy occurred at the Eua Athon Village in the Na Jomtien area of Sattahip district around noon. The victim, identified as 52-year-old Mr. Somrak Thongkhongkheaw, was discovered on the second-floor of Building 49 of the village. He was clad in sportswear and a jacket. Sattahip police found on him a condom, a phone, and a bottle of lubricant. No signs of foul play were discovered.


The building’s housekeeper revealed to The Pattaya News that she was cleaning downstairs when she heard a person shouting about Mr. Somrak falling unconscious upstairs. Upon reaching the incident scene, she found Mr. Somrak unresponsive with stiff limbs and glazed eyes. She immediately called the emergency responders, but Mr. Somrak could not be saved in time.

Sattahip police reviewed security footage and saw Mr. Somrak arriving on his motorcycle and parking it before entering the building. He then walked towards the stairs leading to the second floor, where he was later found deceased.


Due to the extreme heat on the day of the incident, authorities suspected that the victim might have suffered a heatstroke. However, an investigation, including the autopsy of the victim’s body, will take place to confirm the exact cause of this tragic death.

They really are quite the stupidest people. The temperatures are within normal range for the season, around 32- 33c, but I suppose they must indulge in their favourite intellectual pursuit of jumping to conclusions with all the cognitive ability of an intoxicated gerbil.
