Thread: Pattaya Police Hunt for Underwear-Sniffing Man

Pattaya police are searching for a man who has been terrorizing residents of Soi Sawang Fa 2 by stealing and sniffing their underwear.


The man, described as being in his 30s and of medium build, was seen riding a bicycle up and down the street on Tuesday, March 26th. He then stopped to allegedly sniff and steal women’s underwear from clotheslines.


One resident, who asked to remain anonymous, told local reporters that she has been the victim of this underwear thief several times. “I’m scared to hang my clothes outside to dry now,” she said. “I don’t know what this man is going to do with my underwear.”

Another resident said she saw the man riding his bicycle one day while carrying a bag full of women’s underwear. The man quickly pedaled away when the resident attempted to approach him.


Pattaya police are investigating the reports and have increased patrols in the area.

Capture and relocation of alpha macaques in Lop Buri resumes Monday

A tailor has offered a 300-baht reward for the capture of an alpha male monkey, dubbed “Chipped Ear” and notorious for stealing women’s underwear.

The reward offer has been widely shared on social media. The tailor said that “Chipped Ear” is identifiable by an old injury on his ear. He often steals things from his shop, particularly women’s underwear hung out to dry on a balcony.

Then the monkey will toy with the stolen items until they are damaged and then he abandons them.

When we were based in Israel there was a nice Kiwi couple staying with us for a while. They went down to the local bar before us and for some reason we all put on her undies and then went down there and hung out with the two of them.

Which is quite odd now that I think of it. I presume we weren't out on the pull as that would have needed some explaining.
