Local residents and netizens in Chonburi’s Muang district are condemning a vandal who spray-painted blue graffiti on the Chaloem Phrakiat Bridge.

The graffiti was discovered in the early morning of March 29th, 2024, and was widely shared online. The post garnered numerous negative comments from Thai people, some of whom suggested whoever painted the graffiti should be forced to “clean it themselves in the hot sun.”

According to the post, the graffiti featured large blue letters sprayed across the bridge’s railing. The message reads “ก้อชโชคดี ทิดวัติปากแตก สัด” (roughly translated as “Good luck Gosh, Tidwat, you’re a loser”).

Local residents who frequent the bridge for exercise condemned the action as disrespectful and damaging to public property. They also expressed concern about the vulgarity of the message, as they believed it could negatively affect the neighborhood.

The incident has also drawn criticism online, with many netizens calling for the perpetrator to be brought to justice. In addition to punishing the vandal, some suggested that the bridge be equipped with CCTV cameras to prevent future acts of vandalism.
