At 2:10 AM, on March 19th, 2024, Pho Klang police received a fatal accident report about a Bangkok-Bueng Kan coach carrying 44 passengers on Highway No. 2 Mittraphap Road, Mueang, Nakhon Ratchasima.


Pho Klan police and emergency services rushed to the accident scene and found a double-decker air-conditioned coach from Lotus Phibul Tours Co. Ltd., which had collided with an overhead road sign before losing control and overturning sideways.


According to the police report, more than 44 passengers suffered serious to light injuries, including 32 Thai and 12 Lao national passengers. The emergency services performed first aid before transferring the wounded to nearby hospitals.

However, two bodies were found under the coach, it was later found out that they were the coach’s first and second drivers. A crane was deployed to lift the coach to retrieve the two unfortunate bodies, according to the police report.
