They used to be quite easy to get without a prescription from chemists in Bangkok.

They've tightened it up now, but I believe there are still a couple of places that will help you out.

One of them has been doing it for years and must make fairly generous contributions to the yearly Songkran fund.

he probably dresses down to fit in and assumes the isaan farang look, which as we all know sits somewhere between total slob and unkempt scruff. but im sure when necessary ( job interview, immigration office, fancy restaurant in the uk ) he rises to the occasion.

one can usually tell where the farang is living by their dress. the island farang, the bangkok farang, the isaan farang, the pattaya farang etc.etc.etc. and of course lets not leave out the chiang mai farang.

1 diazi is not a drug taker or dealer. I always have considerably more than that on me (and, I always carry the doctor's note/prescription too). Just going in a taxi in Phuket is reason enough to be on a prescribed anti-anxiety drug...

How could this even make the news? There seems to be a torrent of anti-foreigner news in Thailand.

They are not big on prescriptions here - drugs are just dispensed from the hospital pharmacy. Think the only way to do it is make sure you have it in the original packaging, and not loose.

Jeepers, if that's going to lead to the risk of criminal charges... not cool.

I'm also a big fan of the diazepam and in Lao no questions asked I always take about 20 x 10 Mil. Back with me and like Betty I pop 1 or 2 dependant on how many bevvs I've had prior to boarding and find the alcohol diazepam mixture is quite conducive to a nice snooze in cattle class on sir Asia despite setting next to , occasionally what can only be described as the unwashed. I've never bothered to have a proscription for them to show Incase the somchai takes issu e but I guess I should from now on.

If you get it from a hospital pharmacy then just ask for a doctor's note/prescription - they'll give it to you (maybe 100 baht?); it's worth it.

As many of us, I've flown in and out of the Middle East, SE Asia, other on xanax/diazis, so it's wel worth carrying a doctor's note just in case. If it's prescribed then the note is available...

Guess that works the same way, but might look more "official" and some are very fond of a few stamps and such

In the early 2000's, I could source Xanax and Valium from almost any Pharmacy. By 2015, it took me a half day of running around before I found a compliant mom and pop shop.

The script deets printed on the box was ok for US customs with my meds (xanax being one of them) on my trip last month.

you are not only an australian, but also a manual labourer and as such you will have the dress sense, bodily odour and demeanor of a homeless tramp and you are therefore hardly qualified to comment on the dress sense of your superiors. and the same goes for that thug fondles.

Trousers is generally a term for pants that have a matching jacket, though the term "pants" is used as well. Slacks, as I said above, are "dressy" without being formal, and do not have a matching jacket. Jeans, on the other hand, are jeans.
...and linen is celebrated for its exceptional breathability and moisture-wicking properties. the fabric allows air to circulate freely, making it ideal for hot weather. its natural thermoregulation properties help keep one cool and comfortable in warm climates. and linen's moisture-wicking ability draws perspiration away from the skin, especially during hot and humid conditions.

so stick that in one of your cargo shorts pockets and piss off.

^ Linen is all that. Main problem is after a couple of hours in humidity, you look like a homeless person. It wrinkles and stretches pretty fast!

I saw a very famous Japanese movie star once who was sporting a linen jacket. It was a mess. If he could wear it without shame, anyone should be able to.
