One of my proudest moments of teaching was having 12 out of 16 students I taught in M3 make it into the science math program. I think it's the feeder school for Chula and Maidol and if you do well in high school there, you're almost automatically accepted into those universities.

    Will always be the case.
If not kickbacks in one form or another, they're comforted with the corrupted systems in place.

    So it is.

Basically, most students who go to Triam Udom Suksa School, will get into Chula. Even with my daughters 3.84 average over 3years, almost perfect scores for all her Japanese major exams and a letter of recommendation from her Japanese tutor, it was still hit and miss to whether she would get in to study Japanese at Chula. Some say, unless you have 3.95 above or went to Triam, you ain't getting in. A student from Triam could have a lower GPA then you and get in ahead of you. I think her coming to uni in the UK is by far the better option.

Nice one Topper and yes, it is definitely a feeder for Chula. Mahidol has its own feeder school, Mahidol Wittayanysorn School, near it's Salaya campus and to some extent the school my daughter went to, Nawaminthrachinuthit Satriwitthaya Phutthamonthon School. Almost all of her friends who shall we say had something about them, have gone to Mahidol and then Thammasat or Silapakorn.

Nawaminthrachinuthit Satriwitthaya Phutthamonthon School - great bloody school if anyone is going down the option of Thai public education and is living in that area. 50% of education is at home...if the parent can be bothered.
