I was rather unfairly issued a ticket for going through an amber light recently.
The alleged 'offense' was February 11 and the ticket came through in the post a couple of weeks later... with a pay by May 05 due date.
At first I had no recollection of the incident and then I remembered that at 10:23 on that Saturday I would have been returning home from the vet... and I remember that Anna had started to spin around on the back seat during the latter stages of the journey... which only means one thing and I wanted to get home fast. (I didn't as it happens but thank God for vinyl upholstery)
Anyway, the photos show me just before passing an amber light which had gone red just before I exited the junction. I was thinking of contesting it, but why for 500 Baht? And besides, the one demerit point for jumping a red light goes against the wife's license. She wasn't over happy about that, but then again, she rarely is.

No, you said
Well if you avoid any kind of court summons and get an arrest warrant issued, that "can" happen.Yup gotta do that forsure, I do not want to get stopped at the airport and miss my flight.
Still, better to live in fear that you will be handcuffed at the airport and carted off to jail for an unpaid speeding ticket like the millions of imaginary Thais in those millions of imaginary prisons for not paying those 9.7 MILLION (last year) speeding fines.
