Chief executive officer of Pattaya Ramayana Water Park Mr. Andrea Galeazzi brainstormed with Pattaya mayor Poramase Ngampiches to find a way to boost tourism and teach kids to swim.
Mr. Andrea said Ramayana Water Park is focusing on improving its safety measures and services to establish trust among visitors and become one of the leading water parks in the world.
He added that Ramayana is also a member of the Ellis & Associates group (E&A), which is a world-class association that has been teaching water safety instruction to lifeguards, hotel staff, or school personnel for a long time.
As the number of drowning cases involving kids is rising in Pattaya, the chief executive officer said he is preparing to construct a swimming class to teach students from 11 schools in Pattaya, or around 12,000 students, to swim. The mayor praised the idea, saying he would help the water park reach its goal. The Pattaya News will provide concrete details as soon as they become available.
The latest drowning case is that of a 7-year-old boy who drowned at a pool villa in the Sattahip district of Chonburi. He was reportedly alone and marked the third drowning incident in the Chonburi area this year.
