Lithuanian man faces three charges for allegedly killing his transgender girlfriend in Surin, denies all charges
A Lithuanian man is facing three charges for allegedly killing his transgender girlfriend in Surin, Thailand, but he is still denying all charges while police are waitng for DNA test results.
The Prasart Police said at this stage the Lithuanian suspect, Mr. Marius, is facing three charges of physical assault causing death, concealment of a body, and theft. However, Marius is denying all charges while police are waiting for DNA test results.
Police are waiting for Marius’s DNA test to compare with DNA found on blood stains and finger prints inside the house where the deceased victim was found. If the DNA tests match with Mr. Marius, an arrest warrant will be issued for him immediately. Marius is being held by police under a court order until the results of the DNA tests are in, likely to be early next week.
Marius was arrested in Pattaya, specifically Jomtien Beach, earlier this week after an investigation conducted by Surin police led them to the suspect.
The funeral of the victim, Teerapong, will be held tomorrow (June 19th) at their local temple.
TPN notes the suspect had previously been described as Russian, however, Surin police have since corrected that statement. The suspect is from Lithuania.
