A sky train breaks down, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded at many stations

Hundreds of commuters are now being stranded at many sky train staions on Wednesday morning after a train with about 300 passengers broke down near Ploenchit station.





Sky train mechanics rushed to the scene to fix the train.

Earlier report said the brake system of the train got stuck.

Could it be they were interested in getting on the Sky Train to go to another station and unable to go because of the Train Problem.. do not think station exits had nothing to do with it.

I was stuck on the train at Ekkamai for one hour. I thought of getting off and going home and having a sickie, but other than that, there was nothing else to do but wait.

read the headline, if they were stuck at the station that meant they couldnt leave the station!

perhaps it should've said - unable to get to work / unable to use skystrain etc

Yep, no one was stuck, and plenty of people left, presumeably to get a motorsi.

The 300 people who were/are on the train that broke down, did they all safetly exit the train car or are they still there.

My train went through Ploenchit station, so I presume that they had got safely away.

It says something about the BTS that this is newsworthy at all. Trains break down daily in the UK and the press would have no room to report anything else if they covered every incident.
