BANGKOK, 15th January 2018 (NNT) - The Department of Labor Protection and Welfare has offered an opportunity for low-income earners to access low-interest loans to pay off their informal debts and increase their income.

The Director-General of the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare, Ananchai Uthaipattanacheep, said the Workers' Fund Committee has approved the loan program to improve the people's quality of life in accordance with His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej's teaching.

Mr. Ananchai said the program will allow members of a savings cooperatives who earn less than 35,000 baht a month to access the Workers' Fund services to pay off their informal debts as well as credit card debts.

He added that interested savings cooperative can apply for a loan from the Workers' Fund and submit their project's details and related documents from January 15th to 31st, 2018. For more information, please call 0 2245 6774 or 0 2246 0383.
