Govt fund office to handle debts of over 19,000 farmers

BANGKOK, 7 May 2016 (NNT) – Farmer Rehabilitation Development Fund Office will on May 13 consider handling farmers' debts.

Fund office secretary general Watcharaphan Chantharakhajorn said that the agency has planned to help the Fund's farmer members by amending the law to handle their overdue debts.

About 5.7 million farmer members are currently eligible to apply for financial support from the fund office. Those eligible for the Fund need to be small-sized farmers and to repay their overdue debts urgently. More than 19,000 farmers are expected to be assisted by the Fund.

Formalised bribery? Sounds very much like what the French farmers enjoy in the EU.

Yeah - there's always an angle
Shouldn't be expecting the govt to extend altruistic practice without something hidden up their sleeve. Much to convenient.

Much too much unnecessary personal debt and bankruptcy claims that exist today worldwide.

Something is amiss with societies and financial systems.

Anyone able to figure it out as of yet?

Sounds very much as redistribution policies toward rural sector from TRT/PPP/Puea Thai ... I remember the time when it was considered as corruption/vote buying and justified the Coup...

Here it's OK because this move is coming from good corruption-free people without agenda ...
