Because its a thread for topical discussion of the news story. Everyone feels sympathy for death, but what would be the point of the thread if everyone typed "RIP" then punched the post button?

It contains nothing of discussion, information or entertainment interest to anyone who'll read it. It's thread clutter.

Sex enhancing drugs and existing heart problems do not go well together.

A warning to all, not saying the young lad died due to this toxic combination, but others beware.

    So young, so sad. RIP.

Amazing that the Phuket Gazette hasn't picked it up yet...

There’s so many unknowns that we just know.
    Er....

RIP,,, people feel better that he's in a good place now at peace with himself
when in fact he's going to dust. All part of the deal,,the conditioning game.
Nobody wants to believe that it is The End.
    Too scary.

The landlord of my local in Cheltenham returned from Thailand, 48 hours back after flight hone, goes to bed and dead by the morning

I hear the autopsy has drawn a total blank. Chap was only 45 and a real classy old school landlord. I can't help but wonder at the Thai connection.

A local elderly man that I knew had a heart attack in the U.K. And while being resuscitated his spirit left his body and he saw his parents who said " Robyn it's not your time to go" so he obeyed and lived on to go to the Pub and smoke.
Then years later he flew out to Thailand to meet his son who had a dive school in Kho Samui, he lands in Bangkok and makes his way over to domestic flights to get the flight to Kho Samui and died in the terminal.
So what's the point of this true story, nobody knows when their time is up.

do you really believe they were there at death's door waiting.
the brain is the last to shut down
and fear operates until that final moment.

RIP is an escape from reality.
