AK-47 Assault Rifle seized in random Police check in Naklua.
In the early hours of Thursday Morning, Police Lieutenant Colonel Santi from Pattaya Police Station was called to Soi Potisan 25 in Naklua, after a patrol unit spotted a Green Volvo parked on the street. Inside the vehicle were two men and a woman who appeared nervous when Police approached. They were ordered to exit the car and a search of each individual along with the car took place. The search uncovered an AK-47 with a cartridge containing 6 Bullets hidden in the boot of the car. Khun Nopagow aged 37 confessed to owning the weapon, who was subsequently arrested. The other man in the car, Khun Tirasak aged 20 and the woman were taken to the Police Station but were later released. Can you legally own AKs in Thailand? I heard they were classed as "war weapons"... I hear Surin has masses and masses of serious weapons stashed away. You could probably pick up a RGP launcher and a couple of AKs for a few hundred quid... A cache of weapons like that would provide real security
They champion falsehood, support the butcher against the victim, the oppressor against the innocent child. May God mete them the punishment they deserve
