They were not natives of the country that they were in. Details are sketchy but I would venture to guess that these guys , in a drunken stooper, somehow told the wrong person to fcuk off even if they had good reason to do so.

I think that's already damaged by the fact that four locals stabbed a couple of kids to death for nothing more than being annoying.

Face - Schmace This concept of face started in Asian cultures in principle: Not to embarrass or critizise someone in public. Fine. But the concept has been hi - jacked
by reckless lowlife local males so that they can continue to be reckless jerks.
For example these lowlife Bangkok city bus drivers who drop passengers off in the middle of the road. Of course the poor Thais just accept this w/o complaining
so the driver wont lose "face". And just in Pattaya some reckless local male on a moto bike hit a cyclist from the U.S. When the white American said something he was attacked with a butcher knife .

Three murder suspects to be produced in court today

Posted on August 13, 2014, Wednesday
KUCHING: Three suspects in the murder of two British medical students – Neil Dalton, 23, and Aidan Brunger, 22 – will be produced in court today following the expiry of their remand order.

Combo photographs of four of five suspects

The suspects including the main suspect aged 35, 23 and 19 have been remanded in police custody for seven-day to facilitate investigation into the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
All of them were picked up by the police on the same day of the murder at Jalan Abel in the early morning of Aug 2.
Altogether, five suspects were arrested in connection with the murder.
The fourth suspect, a 35-year-old man, who is also being remanded for seven days, is expected to be produced in court tomorrow (Thursday) as his order was given a day late.
He was however arrested on the same day with the first three suspects.
The fifth suspect, a 55-year-old man, who was arrested a day after the four suspects were arrested will have his seven-day remand order expiring on Friday.
The victims, from Newcastle University, UK, were here for two months’ practical training at a hospital here.
The police have considered the murder case solved with the arrest of all the suspects.

Your response is contradictory and puerile. You and We don't know shit about what caused it.
Could have been being too loud, too drunk, too argumentative, could have won the wrong game of snooker or cheered the wrong goal, talking to the wrong girl, looking at someone the wrong way or it could in fact have been fucking nothing at all......

    Well...to begin...

Foreigners are not called "Farangs" in Sarawak...which is a federal territory and has its own government.

The local Malays might call you "Orang Puti" which means ""White person" .....more likely you will be talking to the Chinese who will call " Gwailo" .. ""White Devil"

Kuching has a very steady tourist trade and they are pretty horrified at the murders.

It was probably started by something petty. I don't disagree on that. But it was escalated to the point where not one but 2 people were killed. Maybe they were talking to the wrong girls and instead of taking the out , they escalated it to the point where face was clearly lost. When someone in a foreign country gives you an out, you take it.

Malay Charged With Killing Brit Students

    Bangkok Post
    August 19, 2014
    Writer: AFP

KUALA LUMPUR - A Malaysian fishmonger on Tuesday was charged with murder over the fatal stabbing of two British medical students, a crime that carries the death penalty, local media and police said.

The bodies of Newcastle University students Neil Dalton and Aidan Brunger, both 22, were found early August 6 lying in the road in Kuching, capital of Sarawak state on Borneo island.

Five Malaysian men were arrested in connection with the stabbing deaths that occurred after an alcohol-fuelled argument, according to police.

One of the suspects, Zulkipli Abdullah, 23, was charged with the murder on Tuesday, The Star daily reported.

The charge carries the mandatory death penalty by hanging upon conviction. No plea was recorded.

The four other suspects would not be charged but would appear as prosecution witnesses, Sarawak deputy police chief Chai Khin Chung told AFP.

He added three of them saw the crime, while the fourth helped dispose of evidence.

Court officials declined to comment when contacted, while lawyers could not immediately be reached.

Malaysian fishmonger to hang for killing British students
    Last updated 19:36, March 31 2015

A Malaysian court has sentenced a fishmonger to death for killing two British medical students last year on Borneo island.

Prosecutor Muhamad Iskandar Ahmad said the high court found Zulkipli Abdullah, 23, guilty of stabbing to death Aidan Brunger and Neil Gareth Dalton in Sarawak state last August.

"The court ruled that his defence was merely an afterthought. The defence failed to raise any reasonable doubts in the case," Muhamad Iskandar said.

He said Zulkipli made an unsworn statement from the dock during his defence. Zulkipli told the court that he was involved in a fight with the two Britons along with two of his friends and that he punched one of them, but denied stabbing them to death with a knife.

However, Muhamad Iskandar said there was no gang fight and that the attack on the Britons was unprovoked.

The two men with Zulkipli testified for the prosecution and said that Zulkipli told them he wanted to "test his power" against bigger and taller foreigners, Muhamad Iskandar said. After killing the Britons, he sniffed the blood on his hands and told his friends that "the blood of white men smells nice," the prosecutor said.

Authorities found the folded knife that Zulkipli used in the murder at his house, which matched the stab wounds on the Britons, Muhamad Iskandar said.

Newcastle University students Brunger and Dalton, both 22, were found dead with stab wounds two days before their work placement at a Sarawak hospital was due to end.

Well Zulkipli, let's see if your 'power' can get you out of this one.

No doubt, the smell of this fishmonger dangling from the end of a rope won't be so nice.

This is why the Death penalty must be considered a fair Punishment.

Crimes like this one deserve the Death penalty end of story.

No chance of rehabilitation, just a quick walk out the back and Off him.

    Job done.
