    Clapton cancels Bangkok show

    Clapton cancels Bangkok show

    The Nation February 26, 2014 3:40 pm

Due to the political unrest in Bangkok, British guitar hero Eric Clapton has cancelled his March 2 concert in the capital, promoter BEC Tero Entertainment announced today.

Interest had been keen in "Eric Clapton Live in Bangkok 2014" at Impact Arena because Clapton has hinted that this might be his final world tour. He told an audience in Japan that he's getting too old to be trekking around the world. At 68 he'd prefer to spend more time with his family.

Nevertheless, there's still a chance his Thai fans will see him again sometime. "I hope to return Bangkok in the future," Bec Tero quoted Clapton as saying in an email.

    Refunds are available from ThaiTicketMajor : ????????????????? - ?????? ??????? ??????? ???????????? ????????? ??????? ?????????? ???????? ?????? ???? ???????? - ??????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????! and (02) 262 3838.
pity that, i didnt have a ticket but i was going to turn up on the night and buy tickets at the door.

Wise decision , he don,t need shit like this to worry about , not as if he,s short of a bob or two.

I doubt his 3million watt amps would be loud enough for the Thais anyway.

Just a few days ago Muang Thong was mobbed by protesters as that was Yinglacks last office. Changwattana is still fucked because of the crazy loony monk leading the protests at Government Center. Wise decision. Why put up with crap when you dont have to?

    Eric Clapton: racist prick

I'm disappointed that the Nine Inch Nails concert Saturday at Silverlake was called off.

My friends cousin is sailing on a Cruise liner from Cape Town, one stop was Thailand. The ship docks down near Pattaya.

The company has now informed her the ship will not be stopping in Thailand.

    I mean, a tad silly innit ?

Thailand does not need spoilt pre madonas from abroad, scared Foreigners not wanting to play in front of friendly folks.
Erik would take the money out of Thailand, keep the money in Thailand.
Thailand has a wealth of home talent that far surpasses any visiting artists.
    Support Thai artists first.

What you mean all those long haired guitarists that play "Stairway to Heaven"?

I'll just say two things- I think Duane was better, and never blow good money on a concert at the Budokan (if you are going for the music, anyway). Terrible venue.

    Pre madona?

Well, Eric is pre-Madonna, having begun his career before she arrived on the music scene.

Rihanna, Miley Cyrus would be post-Madonna arriving on the scene after her

Or perhaps, prima donna the words you seek?

You are maybe confused with pre-op and post-op.

Back in the day he supposedly supported Enoch Powell who was a white supremacist.

his sentiments remind me of the average UK poster on a web forum

England had "become overcrowded" and that they should vote for Powell to stop Britain from becoming "a black colony". He also told the audience that Britain should "get the foreigners out, get the wogs out, get the coons out",

So unless a rock star supports ruining the country with mass immigration he's a 'racist' then.? Strange his two musical idols were Jimi Hendrix and big Maceo Meriweather

From some of the posts from poms on forums, I bet a lot of Poms wise they had supported Enoch as well.

I always thought it was Sean Penn's life that was divided into pre- and post-Madonna.
