Phan Fa victims' relatives file complaint against Yingluck, Chalerm, police chief
    February 24, 2014

Relatives of the Phan Fa Lilat Bridge victims have filed a criminal complaint against Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra for allegedly commanding police to kill and wound anti-government protesters.

Chaiwat Sithisuksakul, the attorney for the relatives of Sattha Saedan and Jirapong Chuichai, who were killed during the clash between police and protesters last Tuesday, also named Chalerm Yoobamrung, supervisor of the Centre for Maintaining Peace and Order, Pol General Adul Saengsingkaew, chief of National Police, Tarit Pengdith, directorgeneral of the Department of Special Investigation, and two police officers as codefendants.

Hmm, she is expected to resign . . . expected to resign by, among others, those who are creating chaos.

I hope she sees it through to the next election.

This ridiculous cycle of not accepting results of election and overthrowing elected governments either through this mess or via the armed forces does absolutely nothing to lead the country towards a path to stability

    Ok, off the soap-box

Ahh, democracy's other dirty little secret. It's not about rights, or equality, nor sufferage or empowerment. Stability is the goal. Singapore, not free but stable. Malaysia, not free but stable. America, not free but stable.

Yingluck urged to stop blaming protesters on Facebook
    February 24, 2014

The rally's spokesman Akanat Promphan called on caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to take responsibility for the fatal attacks in Trat and Ratchprasong rather than expressing her opinions on her Facebook page.

He added that Yingluck was creating rifts in the country and putting the blame on political factions in her Facebook statement, which called the violent incidents terrorist acts for political gain.

The PDRC spokesman called on the prime minister to delete the statement, which could deepen differences and conflicts, adding that the authorities' failure to arrest culprits in the attacks could worsen the violence.

In Thailand? Absolutely disagree with that one. In Thailand appearing poor guarantees you will get no respect at all. Diamonds and gold show that you are successful and enjoy good karma.

^Obviously this causes a conundrum for monks who want to demonstrate their good karma but find asceticism an obstacle to that end.

What asceticism? Most of the Chao Wats I've ever seen have big cars and big houses. Mobile phone and laptop shops are jammed with monks avidly seeking expensive toys. The Saffron Scum are just another Mafia. You'd find more asceticism at an orgy.

It might even be possible to find asceticism at an orgy on a private jet:

No, I would blame two greedy, childish, corrupt groups of people that use their brainwashed followers as pawns in order to rip the country apart.

Now come on, how can you tell that by looking at that photo - and what shoes? Just cause you hate the local PTP guy over the floods.. really.

I wouldn't blame 'groups' but rather a system designed to suppress the majority by brainwashing them that they are being benevolently looked after by Poo Yai. You want to say there is equal blame. I disagree.

If that privileged group had agreed to allow a real modern country to emerge where everyone became a stakeholder, improving education, land rights, healthcare, and given a say in the country, then maybe none of this would have happened.

There is only one side to blame. Thaksin isn't the problem, only a symptom of their cancerous rule.

Correct, Tom. This whole idea that 'they're both as bad as each other' and 'they are two sides of the same coin' completely misses the real issues.

Just like the popular media myth that there are "two sides evenly divided". A joke - which the real election results would quickly reveal.

    Correct, Tom.
oh dear, its the ant and dec show, its little and large, its eric sykes and hattie jaques.

suthep and the puppetmaster thaksin shinawat are both thai, they are both duplicitous, they both lie, they are both astute and devious politicians who have clawed their way to the top and they are both gangsters, neither of them can be trusted, they are only in it to line their own pockets and throw crumbs to their grovelling followers.

and yellow crumbs will be bigger than red crumbs, that is the only difference between them.

    democracy my arse.
