    Not a chance in hell.
Should be able to get 2 double entry tourist visas from vientienne - each costing 2k and valid (after extensions) for a year.
    good luck

    Hi.

As far as I know they will give you 3 month Non Im-O if you are over 50 and have proof of income.

You might be able to get the guy across the road from where they issue visas to get you a one year but it would cost $$$$. I know in May he got a couple of the guys in my hotel Tourist Visas both with a passport full of expired tourist visas. I think the next day guy was 2k baht and the German guy got his the same day for 4k baht.

hello, just need to check out a fact, is it possible for someone to get a 6 month tourist visa from Laos.. need to ask cause I've spent the last 2 hours listening to a big mouth English twatt bragging that he managed to get one last week..BTW he tells me that it's a double entry.. the guy has only ever been on 30 day visa on arrival through BKK airport on a monthly basis.. ie. back to back.. no yellow book, thai wife etc.. Thanks.

It's not a 6 month tourist visa, it is a double entry tourist visa that has a 3 month use by date, ie you come into Thailand the day you receive it, 2 months and 29 days later you leave Thailand and then cross straight back into Thailand, a thing to remember though is the visa stay is valid for 60 days on arrival, so after your first 60 days you will have to get an extension of stay issued for 30 days which costs 1,900baht, this will also have to be done after the second set of 60 days.

    Visa

I assume all proper Visa and extensions should be done from Thai consulate ..Vientienne?

Arrived from US on 30 day, no visa entry and want to stay at least six months.

There is no 6 month visa; You apply for a double entry Tourist visa (about $70) Laos or Cambodia
then at on the 58-59th day go to immigration and extend for 30 days for 1,900 baht
on the 29th day head to the border, ( any border) and come back in and your on ur 60 day visa again and repeat the 30 day extension.
so u get 6 months total

oh sorry, just writing in shorthand and ignorance

    I have never needed a tourist visa, I just get a 1 year non-imm

The validity of visa is actually for 60 days (2 months) as the first permit, and if you want to continue touring the country, the visa extension will be granted for another 30 days and after that, the immigration will extend your tourist visa once again for additional 10 days. But further additional extension also depends on the nationals.
