Thread: 3 entry tourist 60 day visa .. revert to entry permit?

I am getting a 60 day tourist visa w/ 3 entrys

My concern is what if I go to Mae Sot for a day trip & Venteniene for a couple days .. my entries are used up.

After my 3 entry tourist visa is 'ka put' can I revert to a 'entry permit' entry?
or am I stuck with 2 'day trips' outside Thailand.

Mae Sot and Mai Sai you can cross the border for a day visit (not overnight) without using up an entry.

When your three entries are used up you can continue but will only get 15 day stamp at a land border. I assume you are UK or USA or OZ

I've got a double entry 60 day tourist visa and I'm on the second 60. Can I get this again? Is it max 180 days? I thought they could be had infinitum?!

Yes, you can get another from a thai embassy/consulate if you have the necessary paperwork

Thetyim, you mean marriage cert? What I'm getting at is it doesn't matter 60 day single or double; once you've had 180 days worth that's it, is it?

I've been hoping to get them for at least til next May when they review the gratis offer.

I spoke to the Thai consulate in Portland, Or, US .. my understanding is that the tourist visa is valid for 6 months .. 60 days per entry.
the tourist visa comes with 1 entry / exit & 2 more (max 3 entry / exit) can be purchased for $35 each.

worst case imaginable:
enter Swamp-poon .. = #1 w/ 60 days
next day Angkor & return = #2 w/ 60 days
third day Penang & return = #3 w/ 60days
4th day Laos .. cannot return on the tourist visa
= 6 month tourist visa w/ 3 entries (max available) finished on 4th day

my air ticket is 57 days in / out Swampy-poon. & this is not my plan .. at least not in 4 days,
but over a 2 month period I can see that I'd like to see more of SE Asia.

If my tourist visa reverts to an entry permit after 3 entry/ exits no problem.

Another option is get a room at nana & never go further than the nana viagra store .. as I did once in the late '90s

I now have a favorite middle aged / post go-go aged lass & while she is a (reported) fan of my stops at the nana viagra store we need something to do other than ceiling / sheet study

I'd like to tour a little w/ her in tow

maybe the purpose to the limited entry / exits is to keep tourist baht in Thailand.

"Thai vacation", you're rapidly losing all credibility whatsoever.

You might like to rethink your approach if you really want advice.
