    ^ Apparently people were doing that which is why they now want to see your boarding pass when you enter. It probably isn't all that difficult finding your way across, some airports don't even have separate areas, so it probably isn't considered a high security risk.

    Surely booking in and then not flying is the highest security risk if your luggage is still loaded.

    ^ Yeah you would think so, I guess they trust their scanners. Abu Dhabi airport is completely open, all passengers are in the same airport, apparently that makes it popular with drug smugglers as well.
