As the title suggests, can I obtain a NON-B Visa in Thailand without leaving the country?
I've never needed one before and can't seem to find any clarification online.
Cheers.

It is sometimes possible. I have done that before, but I suppose your particular circumstances will play a part as will the office you use and the officer you meet on the day, and perhaps what the latest pronouncement from the top is.
See this group on facebook if have FB,Isaan lawyers has been giving out lots of advice.

Cheers Nev, hopefully the current situation will go in my favour.
Cheers Chico, I've requested to join.
Not sure what my chances are though as my NON-O has just expired, although I'm still stamped in for 90 days on it as I re-entered just before it expired.
I'll see what the recruitment agency in Singapore comes up with, just trying to get ahead of the game in case they say it can't be done.
Lang may yer lum reek...
I've heard of them being given out in country a couple times. Don't know how they did it. As Nev said it can depend on a lot of things, I'd go to your local immi and see what they have to say.

Dirk Yes you can obtain a Non-B, hear in Thailand you need to have more than 15 days left on your visa.
If you don't then pope over to Singapore & back as you enter Thailand you get 30 tourist visa, If you do a border run you can get 15 day visa, this will not work as you need more than 15 days.
Good luck
^ wot he said...
Can be done but is easier/quicker to fly to Singapore to do it.
Umm...he..l..l...ooo...

OP needs to find himself an agent to help extend his stay in Thailand.
I would get 30 days if I did a Sadao Border run, which is only an hour from Songkhla, but no foreigners are allowed to enter Thailand at the moment.
I'm stamped until end of may but as I said 'my NON-O has just expired, although I'm still stamped in for 90 days on it as I re-entered just before it expired'.
It's a grey area, not sure how that works.
If I can get the NON-B from Hat Yai Immigration, what supporting documents would I need?
^ the last emergency decree says foreigners with work permits and visa can enter and leave, for flights you need a medical certificate issued within 72hrs that states you are Covid free
Depends on what you want your Non-B based on.

^ That's what I read too.
Work permit or diplomat.
After a lot of back and forth nonsense and emails and calls and research it was actually pretty straight forward. I went to Hat Yai Immigration on Tuesday for info, returned on Wednesday but they closed before my number was called, again this morning and submitted my paperwork for a 60 day extension on my NON-O and back again at 1pm and out at 2pm with a 60 day extension. This is an extension from the end of my current stay period and not from the day my NON-O 'expired'. Cost was 1,900bt.
Tomorrow I will fly to BKK, Monday I will get my Work Permit and Tuesday I will fly to Udon and start my new job with 14 days quarantine in the resort.
Thanks to all who posted info!
