    Update on Savannahket.
Consulate has moved which is probobly old news.
Closer to the bridge by a few klms. 100b tuk tuk is too much but theyre asking 200.
I read on here somewhere that same day visa pickup is avalable . Bullshit . If it was it certainly isnt now. Pick up at 2pm following day.

Savannakhet's same day service stopped on Feb 1st..

It was widely reported BEFORE it happened, so you need to do a better job researching stuff before you go..

Just a couple questions (mostly because I'm nosy)
what type of visa did you apply for?
what documentation did you provide for it?
did you get what you wanted?

FWIW: Savannakhet is still the softest touch thai consulate in S/E Asia right now.. Who knows how long it'll be that way.

About the only thing they reversed was they will no longer issue a year long multi-entry Non-O for supporting half-thai kids, only a single entry 90 day Non-O now. . .

    Never been back since
    Interesting though!
    WHY?
i just went to Ranong an did the visa run for my gf who holds a 1 year non B, went with her for the ride, didn't need to stamp put as i am on a 1 year extension and didn't need stamp into Burma either,
the boat ride is 400 baht r/t be it 1,2 or 4 people.

WE stay at the tindee hotel ( not the resort) for 670 baht an can use the pool next door as well
