    Question Driving licence renewal

Ok this year on a one year non O multi entry I have managed to obtain my first 1 year Thai driving licence.

Now I,m off soon back to the Uk to work , but intend coming back in November when my one year licence is due to expire, HOWEVER , I shall be coming back on a 90 day tourist visa .

Question is will I be able to renew it on that type of visa ?

    Cheers for any help
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs

    Hi
My own experience last Sept - Immigration would not issue the required residency letter to accompany my licence forms, despite having done it the year before.
New rules he said, no res letter for any visa with less than six months to run till expiry which rules out any Tourist Visa
But maybe I just encountered prick of the day at the counter
Rang another office and they didn't quote the six months, but did say a definite 'no' in respect of having a Tourist Visa
Suspect it's a case of local/regional 'rules' and their interpretation.
Tomorrow (or November in your case) could be new rules altogether.
If transport/licensing will accept another form of proof for residency then I guess not a problem. The refusal was a surprise to the licensing supervisor there.
I didn't bother pursuing it further.
Would be a nuisance if I wanted to buy another vehicle as same re letter required.
    Good luck.

    Greased palms usually works.
BTW. Your BIL is a policeman? Get him to give you a letter of residency.

Well, I would have thought the obvious answer was...Come back on a 90 day O visa.
    I think that would suffice?

Or get a yellow house book, then no need for the letter from immigration.
