Another multi-entry visa trip to Singapore..What not to do!!

Well it all went as planned as per the previous threads by DD and Gazza.

What not to do is to go out for a beer with slimboyfat. It will leave you totally useless the next day. Just summoned enough energy to pick up my crisp new visa.

stayed at Hotel 81 in Gaylang. As already described, it is one of the "legal" prossie zones of S'pore.Goes all day and night. With some cute and not so cute hookers and katoeys ply their sometime substantial wears.....

So after I lodged my visa thingie at the embassy, fatboyslim picked me up and we sampled a few of the local bars.Lots of viet,Thai and pinoy shelias etc.

From there into a better part of town, where it was just expats and tourists drinking. This means fcuking expensive.

From there we popped in to the Four Floors of Whores as FBS described it.To other people it is called Orchard Towers.Shelias and blokes dressed up as shelias everywhere.

Infact, I have never seen so many katoeys in one place.Infact it was a little intimidating at times.I did manage to find one loverly young Thai lass and told her not to leave us while we chugged down our beers.I actually told her that I loved her....and she wasn't that nice.Being surrounded by 'blokes' can do that to you....

Glad you had a good time LC.

Hope to see you and some more TD members in CM next month.

Anyone else who is coming for a visa trip to Singapore and wants to take a tour (and its not a cruise - however Bung may try and twist LC's words) of some of the bars, museums and libraries then let me know a few days in advance.

You dont need the bank statement for the visa, just if you apply for the 12 month extension at immigration. I suppose it doesnt hurt to show it though.

You do in Singapore.(Although not in NZ...for the time being anyway) They actually checked and said what currency was the amount in and what figure it came to in Thai baht.

^ Strange. Why would they accept a foreign bank statement that you'd downloaded and printed yourself? There's no way they could verify it with the bank?

Dunno why. They have no idea what my statment would look like from the bank anyway.Even on my 'real' bank statements, (That I stopped them sending years ago) it doesn't mention NZD anywhere. My home address might be a give away though...

You may not know, but still - How fresh does the bank statement have to be? Any problem if the money shows as just arrived in the account?
