I work at an international school in Bangkok.
We all paid Thailand social security for 6 months at around 750 baht a month per person.
Somehow the rules changed, and the school told us we didn't have to pay it any more. They told us our refund would come in October.
I still haven't seen anything, and when I ask the Thai principal, she tells me that we got blown off by whatever Ministry handles this stuff.
I'd like to know if anyone else got their money back. I'm also interested if anyone knows a way to check with the Social Security department to see if a refund was ever issued to the school. I wouldn't put it past this school to just keep our refunds. If they did though, I'd like to know about it, I might mention it to the WASC/CIS people the next time they come through.
Thanks for your input.
