Well as someone said above, he could get twatted by a family member or friend.

If he's in Brazil it could get mental (they're a bit hot-headed aren't they?)

Yes we do, but if I did something liek that in a class, I wouldnt be boasting about it on an internet forum.

smashing things in class is just bullying behaviour, trying to force the kids to behave to your power.
Cell phone in class 22-12-2008 01:12 AM johnbkk christ, you talk a lot of shit! here, you dropped this

interesting to see you privately disagree john. are you a teacher? do you rule by fear?

    surely your students deserve better...

Wow!! You have the patience of a Wolverine. What would you do if something bad happened in class? Assault or kill the offenders?

Haven't yet smashed up a mobile phone or PSP - building up to that!
I'm sure you can hardly wait.

Getting tired of Asian uni kids behaving like fucking 8 year olds back home might
If you haven't noticed, Thai "students" are treated like children until they are well into their twenties. Thai culture is not good.

Then had the fucking audacity to come on to me after he'd just come out as a batty man.

    Gotta love teaching in Thailand.

I did. So much so I'm now teaching in China!
Are you lucky enough to teach Chinese students WITHOUT cameras watching you?

    Not really.

    Felt better after though.
It may have felt better but you didn't help anybody but yourself. Your job, as a teacher, is to help the students to LEARN!!!

I may well switch to teaching children rather than young adults, as I've got no problem with children acting like children. It's young adults acting like children that I can't abide.
I sincerely hope that you don't teach younger children. You may well bring into the world, people like yourself...intolerant control freaks.

So far, you have told us your limits are basically ZERO!!!

BTW am I the only one who spent the first 20 seconds or so thinking our hero the phone smasher was speaking English in a thick Glaswegian accent? I finally twigged that it's Portuguese or something!
No you weren't. In an earlier post, I said that it wasn't a Thai class. An idiot could tell that it was a Spanish based language.

    So far, you have:

a] not displayed any tolerance toward students, apart from "20 seconds".
b] taught students how to be control freaks.
c] inferred that you have a violent & aggressive nature.
d] displayed a total disregard for private property.
e] confirmed that you have inadequate communication abilities.
f] inferred that you are God in the classroom.

I must say that you sound like an old Thai teacher.
I'm glad you're in China but I'm not glad for the Chinese who may have to "TOLERATE" your shit.

Strong suggestion: Stop teaching & get a job in the American military. I think you'd excel in torture...or something like that.
Oh for fucks sake! Get a life & stop trying to fuck mine up!

I don't think I can 'teach' or 'unteach' 18 and 19 year olds anything. The dye is already cast. I just try to curb the most 'raised by wolves' excesses of my classes!

And you wish to do this by showing more intolerance?

If you communicated effectively, you would have more of an understanding about your students & their problems/situation etc. Have you ever insisted upon a person leaving the room due to their telephone call? I have & it works. No angst...no stress...no anything. As a matter of fact, most students will respect you for being a little bit tolerant & will , in future, prepare themselves for your class (turn phones to "vibrate" etc). Unfortunately, you are not tolerant enough to put up with the minor interruptions to YOUR class. It may take a couple of months but this becomes a test of your patience. Who has the most patience...you or your students? This should not be a contest as you should be the one to set the example.

    And you?
I think that I & others would be wasting their/our time trying to talk sense to you.
Instead of taking half-arsed measures, why don't you go and join a military force where you can really inflict your pain upon others.

I hope you learn to teach someday.

I'm old, fat, scared of physical confrontation, and could never serve unquestioningly. My country right or wrong -

Why expend the energy on all those wasteful keystrokes when you could've just said "pathetic"?
Anyway, you could've fooled me about being scared of physical confrontation since you seem to be so confrontational i.e. "screwing-up newspapers" & "throwing drink bottles out of the window etc".

At least wanking is enjoyable. Being a twit (like you) must be hell. It reminds me of an old scout song, "Nobody likes me. Everybody hates me. Think I'll go & eat worms." Oops!! This must be a paedophile song.

Only time I've ever done anything bad like that was when I tore a students assingment in two and threw it out the window.

It was meant to be on a genetic disease. an easy task. find the disease, a photo of it's effects, was it dominant recessive etc. Basically a small information poster, probably no more than 20 words on it.

She googled something and printed off an advert for some sports sale or something like that and handed it in.

I took one look at it ripped it up and threw it in the bin. Asked her where her assingment was. Told her to bring it tomorrow to class. She bubbled and cried. Ran to her mum who complained to the school.

Gave the girl another chance to do the same thing and again came back with the same sort of googled crap, no effort nothing.

Just put a big fat red zero on it for her and that was that.

After that though her mum tried to take her out of the program and into another one in a neighboring town. She couldn't pass the entrance test and was quietly slipped back into ours.

Nasty piece of work her mum was.

but it wouldn't make much of a video clip for on the internet now would it?
