How much of a pillock is your boss?

I think we've done this thread before, but I have some new gossip I want to share. It would appear that our new head honcho 700km south of here is [British understatement] a bit of a pillock [/British understatement]. The rumour is that if you send him an email using a font which is not officially approved, he will send it back to you unanswered.
The sleep of reason brings forth monsters.

My two CM bosses are great - especially the one who reads this forum - but we're worried about this new guy in Bangers.

Seeing as I only report to myself, I must admit my boss can be a bit of a Pillock.

Had a boss once that required all correspondence be placed in a double sided folder (yellow for inter company, green for external, blue for performance reports, etc etc)

Typeface was at least as important as the information being communicated -- 12 pt times new roman. Incorrect spacing was punishable by time in-the-hole. Four goddamn spaces between last line and signature block!

Clear plastic cover sheet held by two paper clips at the top.

I'm sure it was a method to reduce unnecessary communication. It worked a charm.

    Haven't had a boss since May 11, 2005.

Edit: this was formal correspondence to be mailed or filed (on paper, not e-mail). Very few people I knew e-mailed him.

    What's his email address?

We can test this theory out.

Well, my wife thinks I'm a bit of a dill at times . . . but none of my employees do!

(but then I don't sleep with my employees)

I think this particularly lunatic notion only applies to internal emails. People who aren't staff members at Stalag TEFL can get away with using any font they like, as long as it's Ariel 10pt black.

Just use your other email address for communications with him then.
