Good job it isn't an English course.

A few months after starting teaching in Thailand, I was working at a government school with a load of teenagers.

A group of girls were asking me if I could speak Thai, so I played the old "nik noi" card etc and everyone chuckled.

The girls then said they would teach me something.

Repeat after us "yaak lear hee."

And silly me did, syllable by syllable, before it dawned on me what I had just said.

So, as much me saying something as them really, but I've always been wary of any "language lessons" from teenagers since then.

5 year old: Okay, if he falls on you it would hurt.

Pretty much impossible not to chuckle at that one.

Mongolian kids cursed like sailors on shore leave. Running in the corridor also a CONSTANT issue at the school I was working at. Decide to get one of my classes (they were grade three, going on grade 4) to come up with a poster and a catchy slogan. One kids suggested "Stop running you mother...welll you get the idea lol.

Youtube has a lot to answer for.
