.....most of which have scattered [for a good year now] over to The Big Mango. A place seemingly accepting refugees from TVF, AF, and other established places.

The ever-lasting references are deep.

My experience is different.

Only a few teachers members at that place (Big Mango) and they were members of both Aj and TVF.

Personally, I've never ever visited the AJ forum ... mainly because I never was interested in Teaching.

Did however, like the CoolThaiHouse place.


It seems not many will mourn the passing of AJ ... reading between the lines of it's demise, there might be a lesson or two for TD also.

The comparisons [TD/AF] are limited, David. Two different atmospheres - always have been...

And I believe the lessons were learned years ago, when Teakdoor was founded by disgruntled AjarnForum regulars [DD, Cap'n Sensible, MtD, et all] who found the place rather banal and repressed - so they formed their own alternative as to what was out there.....since then [2005-2006], there has been nothing that has come close to resembling TD in it's scope and general atmosphere. Over the years, lots of cross-over traffic [especially amongst TD, AF, TV, SZS, and other smaller forums] created a vacuum for competitive spirit. That no longer exist within the Expat Thai-themed forum theatre. The survivors have survived....
