Do you read gay porn while your wife is in the house she owns that you stay in and contribute nothing? Has she ever caught you wanking to it? I think you have started a thread on that on the other forum..

Follow your new Yoda. I think Sentrix might be quiet for a bit now. Better yet run back to BM.

I liked Joko's contributions, the vids were decent entertainment value, though a bit heavy on, "here's helmut cam footage of me riding all day, set to music".

He was interesting in that he seemed to be on the verge of becoming something (more than a guy who rides his motorbike around solo, drinks a tad too much beer, and lays down nightly alone), but it just wasn't clear what.

He seemed pretty proud of Leaving Amerika (the title of his blogspot), but to what end was always my question.

Like a lot of Americans, he lived in a dull neighborhood, had an average sales job, and I think, wanted to start living.

The US lifestyle is quite dull IMO.

I know I'm not speaking for everyone of course. We're all different.

For many, expat life is only possible by teaching English.

Some start a business, and it usually seems to be a bar or restaurant that eventually fails.

"Teach English or nothing" is a phrase.

Many don't want to continue to teach after about 10 years, but continue to do so because they don't want or cannot return to their native country.

I don't anticipate a large influx of AF refugees.

Most of them have ventured over here in the past and found themselves lacking in the face of online adversity without their circlejerk friends to back them up.

    Cyrille,

I didn't say it was true for everyone.

Do you disagree with my statement?

Is there any AF member that can quote Louie's last post (and not the forum closure)?

No, but tantalisingly I have a rep comment which will remain unread for eternity.

Would be nice to see Anna Key move over. Entertaining the way that bloke writes.

This covers many expat professions. 10 years abroad in general makes for a poor CV.
