Just because someone is a cheat and a conman does not necessarily also make them a classic psychopath.

I agree with one of the posters above that it is more likely some antisocial personality disorder.

I think that the ECC Celta is quite new here.
maybe a year old.
they run around 4 courses a year.

One of our staff did it about 6 months ago.

I agree with you that the TEFL world is a pretty sad one indeed, especially for those practising in Thailand. I find this particular quote at the top of the forum most amusing.

I have not had the pleasure of speaking to Bangkok Shill, so as far as lies, deceit & charm go, I can't really comment. I do however find it difficult to believe that he can be charming, I did hear that he had to buy a wife but that may just be a rumour. kenkannif on the other hand has never tried to make any money out of me, in fact quite the reverse, I have profited from him.

They know that they fucked up so they might as well make some money out of the next people to do the same, as its all they've got left, and neither of them can stand teaching.

Being fucked up & unable to stand teaching probably describes most teachers in Thailand.

These TEFL courses seem to be a winner though - you charge the teachers to train there AND you charge the students to be taught by the trainees. Can't fault the business plan....

The problem with that is, it's a case of he said, she said etc. He may have claimed that or he may not, it's a case of a few disgruntled peoples word against the rest. Can you show us some evidence please as I for one would love to see some.

I was the one who offered to wager, so that is first hand information.

However, you can make the first move if so inclined. Simply ask him if he has ever said it or not. If he says "not" then I'll track it down assuming the forum keeps old postings. Since my handle was banned I don't know if the posts have been deleted. In any and all events, the bottom line is how these courses are marketed. It is with excitement and deception, not with educational purposes. You need look no further than the practice of luring in prospects using the help wanted sections of the newspaper and site itself. If it were an educational offering why decieve in the help wanted section?

I don't have much time this week but will contribute more next week if the matter remains of interest to you.

Surely there is excitement and deception involved in the marketing of any product. You've seen the ad, a bloke sprays on some wonder aftershave & the birds start to flock round him, gagging for sex. Excitement & lies, no? Only gullible fools fall for such a routine.

Apart from Smeg, is there anyone else here who kk has actually lied to? True, he's always telling me that he has a large knob, and I'm quite sure that's a lie.

I don't think people should be "outed" UNLESS they are decieving others as in this example, tricking them into buying a TEFL course with false statements most of the providers are well known for. I don't know if it is him and the guy is a public figure, his name being on the advertisements etc.. Only in these cases do I agree with the exposure of the fraud if you want to call it/him that. He's giving advice as if from a consume yet the whole time wanting to sell his course. NokNumbNuts
