if you like earl, you can go back to my post (#48) and comment on rummy's thoughts on the civil war....it's certainly on topic.

All this proves is that you not only can't read but fail to cognate as well!Originally Posted by raycarey

Well it's the only way he's going to leave on a high note. Not that I'd advocate that, I'd rather history judged him as a failure.
it's a shame that they are no more patriots left in the US to kill that traitor of Bush
The American dream is definitely over
^ this is exactly the type of nonsensical rhetoric that republicans are currently using in an attempt to dominate the national debate in the US right now.
has anyone on this board stated that they want a totalitarian state to rule the world. no.
dissent does not equal appeasemen. it doesn't mean that the dissenter is a traitor or a defeatist.
dissenters are saying (and it is our right) that this mess that was started by GWB it is being run incompetently---and it time to find out how to fix it.
one can only conclude that because this administration won't even admit that something is wrong (rummy is still sec. of defense) they expect that the american public will believe that 'stay the course' is some sort of strategy.
The fact that they are now running around attacking critics speaks volumes about their failures.
A just and honorable war would not require such defensive speeches would it?
they have nothing else....
more than half of americans don't support the war in iraq, and even more think it isn't being managed well.
they will attack their opponents as appeasers and defeatists.....when in fact they lost a war they shouldn't have started.

And despite the war in Iraq someone managed to plot and almost execute another terrorist attack. Which goes to prove that our intelligence gathering is suffering at the hands of an unjust war.
So, how exactly is Iraq tied to all this? Someone connect the dots for me.
