Cambridge University has kindly provided some wll researched and peer reviewed answers to sceptics of climate change and global warming.
My only reservation is that i cannot find which organisation, other than the university, funded this research.
Given that the list of contributors and institutions are all widely respected, it is still a valuable resource for those who are interested.

Al Gore's movie being factual or not is really not to relevant. Prior to his getting involved those claiming the effects humans had in increasing CO2 emissions was falling on deaf ears. The answer. Get a well known name "celebrity" to promote their cause. Common practice in promoting causes from Food Aid to AIDS prevention. Al Gore brought the issue to debate outside scientific circles so worked well for advocates of CO2 reducing burning of fossil fuels.

I have looked at some of the scientific data on both sides of the debate. I take an agnostic view. No matter the cause of climate change or our ability to make a significant impact on it, the reason I support any move to alternative energy sources is simple. Fossil fuels will run out and we must start now to retool our energy sources.

The debate continues as is shown in this thread.

So in 10 years, this au*ust forum of USA ri*ht win*ers can only recruit 300 people per year? Most of whom are BSc. They are not scientists by any stretch, FFS even i have a BSc.
Is this site funded by Fox news or Ruoert Murdoch?

If man-made climate change was a fact, it wouldn't be debatable, it would simply be true.

    Nobody can prove nothing.

Well, moon landing is a fact too. And still a lot of people deny it.

I state again, as have others:

It is a proven fact that CO2 is a potent greenhouse gas with profound impact on our climat. It is a well known and proven fact that man burning fossil fuel had a massive impact on CO2 levels in the atmosphere.

It is probably not known exactly how big the resulting changes are but they are substantial. It does not help though, that people like Al Gore make wrong statements in their arguments.

    Sigh!

But this kind of argument shows, that alarmism and exaggerated claims do not help anybody but those in denial. That's why I despise people like Al Gore so much.

For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures.
even though man-made carbon dioxide, the gas thought to be responsible for warming our planet, has continued to rise.
    link

Yet the alarmist rhetoric is practically deafening.
We're hearing a bunch now due to the big pow-wow here in Thailand.

Al Gore is a scummy greedy fuck. He has yet to retract the errors he put forth regarding the "hole in the ozone". He profited handsomely off that.

Sure the planet is in a warming cycle, the warming cycle has been going on for thousands of years.
This "Global Warming" movement smacks of a giant scam. Much like Al Gore's previous ozone layer scam.

Sure let's reduce co2 emissions, but how about being honest about it?

Except for the little detail that all his so called "data" was massaged to convince the easily alarmed sheep who don't bother to check the facts.

Can you prove that or are you just massaging data to convince yourself?

^the errors in Al Gore's movie are well documented.
Google "global warming errors". The science is far from exact. With so much at stake and weasels like Al Gore getting rich off the deal you should be more skeptical.
