And the libbies are out in force. Wish you'd all post some sensible arguments for a change.

Child abuse. No less than physical abuse, probably worse. Religion relies on it, and often culture and politics as well.
Of course, those whose views coincide with the message of the brainwashing, won't utter a peep. They're generally too weak-minded. Until it comes round for them and their children.
And yes, this time I did watch the (first 2) videos.

Yeah, because the continued fatuous, sophomoric, ill-conceived and, ultimately, pointless and misguided Obama/Hitler analogies and comparisons demand rigourous intellectual scrutiny and debate.Wish you'd all post some sensible arguments for a change
It's my belief that all those invovled in WW2 would be equal parts sickened, saddened and ashamed that it has come to this. That what they fought and struggled against has been reduced to a ridiculous exercise in tenuous comparisons and Photoshopped pics on the internet.
How's that for a sensible argument?
Not sure about that. I think I'd rather be forced to sing stomach-churningly awful songs than have the shit kicked out of me.Originally Posted by FlyFree

Come on guys, there is something wrong with school teachers/schools passing on their private political and religious views to the children, just like using children in political campaigns, never mind if it is the right or left, I know it is being done a lot around the World but it still stinks.

I agree actually, fair and good point. Otoh, not sure these Youtubes are examples of a bunch of schoolkids being sequestered en masse to sing 'Obamaganda'. I reckon a brief investigation would find they are there of their own volition- not teacher pressure- but admittedly, some of this zeal is a Black thang.Originally Posted by larvidchr

Found this Lou Dobbs tape. Hope it works.
It's the indoctrination or education vid. Sorry, couldn't pull up the vid.

jet, it's obvious you're simply copying these videos from some other site.
why not just post a link to the rabid right wing blog you copied these videos from and put an end to the pretense?

.....adult propaganda?

Exactly. I'd sure the fek be angry if my kids were being taught this adulation crap and not be allowed to recite the Pledge of Allegiance or sing the national anthem every morning.
Keep this stuff out of schools. We get enough libbie propaganda at uni. Yes, I was libbie when I was young and naieve, too.![]()
One song is about government disaster relief, Bush happened to be the President at the time. The other song is specifically about Obama coupled with a political message. The Obama song shouldn't be taught in public schools.
Here's a quote from a school spokesperson:
"The activity took place during Black History Month in 2009, which is recognized each February to honor the contributions of African Americans to our country,'' superintendent Christopher Manno writes. "Our curriculum studies, honors and recognizes those who serve our country. The recording and distribution of the class activity were unauthorized.''
Given the quote I can understand the reason why the children were taught the song. But the song goes beyond recognizing the first black President during Black History month. It's political. It's indoctrination. I don't see kids that age questioning what they are taught to sing.

maybe if you were american and had kids, you'd have known that children don't sing the national anthem every monring
Yes and no. One of the main - possibly the main - functions of school is precisely to pass on political - ideological, really - views (the founding myths of society, equality before the law, fairy tales of national progress, the virtues of bourgeois liberalism, etc., etc.). The difference is that these are public, framework views which structure political discourse, rather than constituting the Scholastic squabbling which takes place within the political discourse of democracy.
