I would not know: are you some kind of expert?

In fact I would say it's not so much naivety as men here that support the sex trade (as many of us do in one way or another) are deluding themselves so they don't fall off their moral high horse.

No I can't really agree that she has touched a nerve with me, but these dayz there are so many fucking doo gooders out there, shes had her 10 seconds of fame and she obviously doesnt realise that half those rescued will be back in the karoke bar before her droopy arse passes thru customs at swampy.

I agree, she's misguided, but her heart's in the right place, and she may very have genuinely helped some of these girls. Worth commenting on how misguided she may be, but the vitriol she has received here suggests that some members are a little too upset she has highlighted a genuine problem in the country.

Whilst they are nicely described as poor family's breadwinners it's also worth noting that some of these families spent all their money on booze and lotto tickets and then forced their daughters into the sex trade to pay back their debts.

Unfortunately my friend these girls are a fact of life in Thailand and the lady in question although she may have good motives will not change the way the system works. Only the government could do that, but there is no willingness to do it.

It could be argued that many people that help the needy are in it for themselves.

It seems to me like whenever people try to help those that are caught up in Thailand's sex trade there is a backlash of anger from people that don't want to accept or acknowledge that some of them do actually want / need help.
