I checked that poverty centre out again, and one of their key roles is to search out "right-wing" terrorists. Fine, how many did they find convicted? 80 something? What's the point? How can you centre your focus on that when Obama is bent on destroying the whole country with the aid of the unions and his inane policies and his czars?
Pathetic! Not even close to an answer to the simple yes or no question in there.

One word Jet, that's all you're being asked for.

    Yes or no.

    Yes

    No

Are those names and the associated details true? Yes or no?

    From a blog I read,……………..

    The hate is everywhere

What's increasingly interesting, and disturbing, is how it's looking more and more like the hate the right-wing is whipping up surrounding health care reform is quite real. Meaning, these nutjobs aren't faking it. The Republicans, FOX News, and conservative talk radio have actually convinced a vocal minority of the country that Hitler and Stalin have been reincarnated as a black fellow from Chicago. I'm not sure what this all means, but I do think it's on a path towards some serious violence. You don't wind people up to this degree against the government, and against specific political leaders - tell them that their worst nightmare has come true, that we are literally losing our nation to the equivalent of Adolf Hitler - and not have some nutjob act out violently a la Oklahoma City, or worse. I'm still rather amazed that the Democrats aren't discussing the potential for violence among the Republican masses.

Some TD Dems (and others who are concerned) are discussing it

I recommend they call out the national guard and start rounding up middle aged white men with good jobs and health insurance.

Extermination camps are not out of the realm of possibility.

RA would be all over that for sure. After all, the beheading of an innocent American contractor overseas was justified in his mind...

A lot of things are upside down over here. Torture as a national policy is actually discussed on the news in reasonable tones. Lou Dobbs gives birthers lies credibility and declares that Obama could clear it up with a Birth Certificate as if it hadn't been produced, and Congressmen calls self declared right wing terrorists Good Americans, or some such name.

I don't think democrats raise the subject of some form of violence breaking out because the threat is palpable but too vague and unfocused...nuts with guns at political rallies and other worrisome signs even more general than that...troubling, but no event you can point at, much less rally around. 9/11 sticks. Oklahoma City is Teflon. If it was the other way around, complacency with this stuff would be much less and they'd go back in their hole where they belong.

Whose nation is it? Here in lies the issue motivating the current nonsense we are hearing from the so called conservative right wing. For well over 200 years America has been dominated by a Caucasian western European majority. In recent times, the percentage of nonwhite educated Americans has increased dramatically putting the dominance of white America under what to many is a threat to "their nation".

The stew which is the great American melting pot has and will continue transforming from a whiter shade of pale to a warm brown hue. Throw on top of this the increase of nontraditional Eurocentric cultures and religions and the threat becomes intolerable to white Americans who wish to retain supremacy.

For the small but unfortunately vocal minority of whites who feel America is their country having a "black" gain the office of President is the final call to arms. He must be brought down and discredited at all cost if whites are to retain supremacy. "Remember the Alamo". This is a battle of survival and there are no rules.

In the end all the actions of those who wish to have whites reign supreme will come to naught. There will be more blacks, Asians, Latino's and maybe even some day heaven forbid a Muslim, Jewish or Buddhist President.

Things have gone sour for those who want the white race to retain it's supremacy. The war was lost by their failure to win key battles in changes to US law. All started with the Emancipation Proclamation and a succession of libbie civil rights laws.

For those whites who are fighting to the death to defend "their nation" against the onslaught of non-whites, I can only say get over it. Just ain't going to happen. After all, you didn't really expect the invitation below to apply only to Irishmen. (thanks Jon)

^ very nice,.you are so right & ^^ I am not there in the US and sometimes my judgment is skewed because of the Blogs I read. I do hope the cases I am reading about are just isolated.

    And with that more news,………….

Rick Sanchez does a piece (video/link) on Pastor Steven Anderson (audio of Pastor Anderson) and his hate for Obama. Sanchez goes on to tell the viewer about the raising level of hate building up against the President and what the secret service is doing.

Part of the piece Sanchez broadcasts:

    (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PASTOR STEVEN ANDERSON, FAITHFUL WORD BAPTIST CHURCH: Tonight, I want to preach this sermon. And you have probably never heard a sermon like this before. Actually, you probably have if you have been coming to church here for a while. But you know what? Here is my sermon, why I hate Barack Obama. That's my sermon tonight, because Barack Obama is coming to town tomorrow morning.

Barack Obama is coming to town. And he is going to be here tomorrow morning. Who knew that he was coming to town? I didn't know. I just found out recently with his health care and everything like this.

And I'm going to tell you something. I hate Barack Obama. You say, well, you just mean you don't like what he stands for. No, I hate the person. Oh, you mean you just don't like his policies. No, I hate him.

    Snip

    (BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: What goes around comes around. You love violence. You hate that which is right. You love to harm others. You love to hurt or kill the unborn or the innocent or the righteous. He is saying, God is going to bring that upon your own head, because whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Now, turn back to Psalm 58 and let me ask you this question. Why should Barack Obama melt like a snail? Why should Barack Obama die like the untimely birth of a woman? Why should his children be fatherless and his wife a widow, as we read in this passage?

Well, I will tell you why. Because, since Barack Obama thinks it is OK to use a salty solution, right, to abort the unborn, because that's how abortions are done, my friend, using salt -- and I would like to see Barack Obama melt like a snail tonight.

surreal, those right wing loonies are becoming more European fascists than ever, they think they have the monopole on their ideas, but we European had them before.

Jesus, how can he can get away with so much hate without being locked up is incomprehensible

if it happened under Bush, you bet that Church would have been closed down or burn and that pastor sent to Gitmo !!!

Cases like this are isolated, but they're out there more and more. Cable News keeps the pot boiling on both sides, although Fox tells outright lies. I keep waiting for a backlash, but if a triggering incident of violence happened everything could easily shift to the right--repression, loss of more privacy, spying on general population. Moving to the right is a habit for the US, I'm afraid.

Pastor Steven Anderson of Arizona’s Faithful Word Baptist Church — spiritual adviser to the man who carried an assault rifle outside a recent Phoenix health care rally with the President — believes that God wants people to hate Barack Obama.

He’s even praying that Obama dies of brain cancer, “like Ted Kennedy.”
Anderson first made news for his controversial YouTube sermon declaring a hatred of the President and his wish for Obama’s death.

On Sunday he told MyFoxPhoenix: “I hope that God strikes Barack Obama with brain cancer so he can die like Ted Kennedy. You know, and I hope it happens today.”

They only question the tax exempt status of churches that preach sermons for peace, like they did to the Episcopal Church in Santa Monica when Bush was in power.

Embarrassed Republicans, you are not entirely alone:
Organizing Against WorldNetDaily | The Next Right
This is just hideously embarrassing for the Right.

The Web site Worldnetdaily.com says that the government is considering Nazi-like concentration camps for dissidents. Jerome Corsi, the author of "The Obama Nation," an anti-Obama book, says that a proposal in Congress "appears designed to create the type of detention center that those concerned about use of the military in domestic affairs fear could be used as concentration camps for political dissidents, such as occurred in Nazi Germany."

In the 1960's, William F. Buckley denounced the John Birch Society leadership for being "so far removed from common sense" and later said "We cannot allow the emblem of irresponsibility to attach to the conservative banner."

The Birthers are the Birchers of our time, and WorldNetDaily is their pamphlet. The Right has mostly ignored these embarrassing people and organizations, but some people and organizations inexplicably choose to support WND through advertising and email list rental or other collaboration. For instance, I have been told that F.I.R.E (The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education) - an otherwise respectable group that does important work - uses the WND email list. They should stop.

No respectable organization should support the kind of fringe idiocy that WND peddles. Those who do are not respectable.

I think it's time to find out what conservative/libertarian organizations support WND through advertising, list rental or other commercial collaboration (email me if you know of any), and boycott any of those organizations that will not renounce any further support for WorldNetDaily.

One of my very good friends in the US is and always has been a staunch republican, but otherwise he's a nice guy . . . we had a chat over the week-end and he is distraught at the fact that 'his' party has far too many extreme but vocal 'advocates'.

He would never vote Democrat . . . but he is considering whether to vote at all.

By the standards of the people currently representing the Republican Party in the national "discourse" (if a shouting match can be so called), Richard Nixon was a socialist. This has been pointed out often over the past few years, and again in a very recent Paul Krugman column:

it was only a matter of time before republicans who are able to walk upright (yes, they do exist), would take a stand against the low-brow politcal theater that has over taken their party.

however, i have my doubts as to whether or not they'll be able to reclaim it soon....the knuckle draggers are entrenched, and they control the right wing media outlets.

i posted a couple of years ago that i thought the republican party would be forced to splinter, and i wouldn't be surprised if it happens after 2012.

One of the problems, I find, is that when someone starts to decry what is going on in a public forum (not unlike this one) they are branded un-American and an 'enemy' of the state . . .
There are many historical precedents for this type of behaviour, certainly not only confined to he US by a long-shot . . . but the last time it was as endemic as now was under McCarthy

At first I thought no. It happened to the Dems, too. The Anti-War group in the Democratic Party drove a segment of them over to Reagon. Some of them are still there. And of course the Democrats were split by the Dixiecrats for years, but they were still all Democrats. The Republicans have always seemed more coheseve till lately.

Then I thought: The Palin Party.

in all honesty, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have "re-education" camps for those loonies, they all seem so hopeless
