    Brave American Soldiers!

Found this vid on youtube. Makes me feel kind of sorry for the common American soldiers giving their lives and limbs for the greedy fuckwits inside the Oval office plus the ones, who say that the troops are doing a good job there and are really needed in Iraq, especially Texpat, Keda the incest survivor and BlackGang the old fart.

It is sad to see that most of the supporters of this fucked up war are the ones who sit infront of the T.V in their comfortable rooms, drinking pss and commenting on the war. None of them has ever been to a real war and know no shit about it.

Like most wars the soldiers sent to do the fighting are barely more than kids.

Generally speaking, I assume that the averge age of the Americans in Iraq is the low 20s. (I'll check it out.) In Vietnam the average was 19 years old. 'Nam was America's first teenager war.

My point is that you note feeing "kind of sorry" for the common American soldiers. Perhaps this is fair, but they are there.

Generally speaking, these Americans come from lower-socio-economic backgrounds, have a 12th grade high school education, and probably don't follow the details of the military-industrial complex, PNAC, Neo-Cons, etc. If they do learn about these concepts, it's when they are older.

You don't want to send people to the foreign adventures that think very much.

The troops are just pawns in a big chess.

Seconded. There is an old saying that "The soldiers fight but the kings are the heroes".

I can't say I found the video enjoyable. For all those knockers who have never faced combat conditions and think these soldiers cowards, then swap places. There's no shame in admitting your scared.

I think all wars are teenager wars. It's when most males are at their highest point of being carefree. Try looking at the average age of combatants for the 2nd world war I expect to be around 19 also.

Why do all these combatants invoke the name of their Lord? In Vain.

If they bothered understanding that shit, they would not be there anyway.

    That means the Moslems too.

The Mussies are sometimes 8 or 9 or retarded women.

I can't view the vid, but what's the difference?

Soldiers sign up to do what they're told.

Is this supposed to be of some significance?

Thanks for the revelation that war ain't pretty.

Now tell us again who is intentionally killing innocent civilians in the name of religion?

Who has the moral high ground?

Anyone remember that song? Was bit hit in NZ when I was a kid. Had a sampled lead in similar to MM's quote above actually: 'In WW2 the average age of a solider was 24, in Vietnam is was nineteen...'.

Every one of them is a volunteer. After a few years they volunteer to stay. Think about that for a while. Many want to get back to their mates following an injury. Yeah, I realize you can't accept that and will poo-poo it away. It's telling.

I was a volunteer just as millions before me and millions after me.

You woudn't make it. They'd send you home to mama. Keep whining.

    You just can't understand it.

    It's a contract.
You understand what a contract is? Breaking it is a serious offense. Yeah, I know, you hate laws ...
I understand they could recall me, even today. I'd go happily.
    It's unlikely, but not unfathomable.

It's obvious who's doing the heavy-lifting here.... Keep running. It's quite unbecoming.

Texpat, it would be clearer reading of your posts if you made some reference to whom you are answering.

When referring to the US military: Mercenary should be substituted for volunteer. It may sound a tad harsh but it makes the situation more clear.

No, it's not mercenary -- you're just ignorant. A force acting outside the government is mercenary. Get back in your box and shut up, thanks.

About the "Not ignorant bit" are you sure about that??

Machi=. None of them has ever been to a real war and know no shit about it.
    That is another stupid remark.

In Nam I was a Volunteer, and I was over 30, there were a lot of Dudes some older than me, some younger too, but had some from the WWII and lot from Korea and none was pissing themselves because they were there. But there were a lot of very young too but they were not the majority of the combat troops that I ever saw, but were a goodly amount of the overall troop count, which were a lot of Reup on stations, just as pobly is in any conflict armys.
if you were not actually in it then you can't really talk about it as if you were.

Jesus christ, you claim time in the military,,if you think like that, what was it, Salvation Army or Boy Scouts??
All troops living together talk damn rough and you are the first guy that claims to have been a warrior that even thinks like that, and that includes women in the military.
Plus the fact that some do not claim to follow your LORD.

The average age of a soldier was 22 not 19 as stated. Look up Statistics about the Vietnam War . This was/is a myth. The average age in world war 2 varies according to what you read. I've read a few articles and they vary between 23 & 26. I stand corrected.

Some data report still say the average was 19 out of the 2.9-3.1 million that were there.

yeah they were lied to. someone told them they were joining the boy scouts and they trained for 6 weeks for a weekend outing in Montana but actually they sent them to a REAL war, how dare they actually expect American soldiers to be required to serve their country for their monthly wage, low interest vet loans, lifetime medical and college tuition in many cases....the audacity!!

The GIs, they serve their commander in chief who happen to be a religious nutcase and think God gave him a mission to accomplish,

how does that fit your definition of religious war ? or are you still in denial ?
