The situation is as of today looking very good for McCain. He is sure to pull it out. Keep the faith Jettie.Originally Posted by Jet Gorgon

Not sure why but McCain is no longer going to campaign in Michigan. Have they conceded it to Obama as it's still a tossup? Lose here and the fat lady will be singing.

^Always keep the faith, Norts!(Praise be to god and all my other idols.) McC went for govt finance (like Obama promised to do once) and his cash is low, so he's going for the swing states with the best electoral vote count.
^^ Poor you, ray. Never answer any Qs unless you have a slick answer from the libbie pundits, huh? How was your visa run?

^^ I gotta admit, you do make me laugh, ray. Best trash the genmaicha and pour a glass of pinot gris to boost my chuckle factor.
Well, it's a recognizrd fact Mad Joe came off looking (again) like a cheap used-car salesman. Greasy Joe is now is new moniker!
Palin Wins
Biden said that Obama had never said he would meet with Ahmadinejad, that McCain voted the same way as Obama on a budget resolution that included tax increases, that his comments about clean coal had been taken out of context. Biden is wrong on each point.
...
Amazingly, Biden had no response when Palin pointed out that he had once said that Obama was not ready to be commander-in-chief.

One columnist from the Post. Want to get worried? Go to any site with feedback from the debate. Its running 8-1 that Palin did not win the debate. I am surprised that the general public seems to be giving up on her.

Hey! I'm a reputable source!
The fact checkers will beetle through all the statements and extract all the gaffe bites and it will all be available in a few hours with opinions from the wankos on your favourite news sites. I gave you my insight already! No pundit brainwashing! Fair and balanced!![]()
In last night's debate, Palin was surprisingly coherent. She proved that she can actually think in a straight line and finish sentences. However, she was short on substance and often failed to address the questions that she was asked. She repeated general talking points, obviously given a simplified playbook to get through the debate without disaster. Biden was utterly masterful on almost every level. He drove home powerful points with substance and a style that connected emotionally with the average voter. Biden's debate performance was possibly the best I've seen since these debates were re-started in 1976.
Biden was composed and even gave a couple of direct answers. I thought he showed his experience.
Palin did not address the questions, sounded like a babbler, a little too howdy duty for VP. She was not a disaster, just not ready for prime time. Would make a good govenor of a state with 50 people and no airplane.
Meet Jet Gorgon, couldn't discuss anything without the brash 'in-your-face' attitude she shows at every turn . . . you are now also a libbie xyz, on welfare and a goodness knows what elseOriginally Posted by nidhogg

Palin did not commit a major gaffe, which has the Republicans palpably relieved.
Biden safely won the debate though. So both parties are probably happy enough with the result.
Biden was good.![]()
Yes both are. Palin because she did nothing to further hurt McCain but she did little to sway undecideds to McCains. Biden was much more convincing and polls indicate he did sway more undecided votes to Obama. This is what VPs are supposed to do.Originally Posted by sabang

Just watching the full debate on youtube now.
who is Joe sixpack??
Heh...this says she is - how's about this promo for her new Obama-sucking book:
”In ‘The Breakthrough,’ veteran journalist Gwen Ifill surveys the American political landscape, shedding new light on the impact of Barack Obama’s stunning presidential campaign and introducing the emerging young African American politicians forging a bold new path to political power… Drawing on interviews with power brokers like Sen. Obama, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, Vernon Jordan, the Rev. Jesse Jackson and many others, as well as her own razor-sharp observations and analysis of such issues as generational conflict and the ‘black enough’ conundrum, Ifill shows why this is a pivotal moment in American history.”
