CLEARLY IN THE CENTER?, BUT HAS THE MOST LIBERAL VOTING RECORD IN THE SENATE

If you look at the spectrum from the front he is on the left end. If you look at it from the side he is in the center. But then again so is everyone.

    Predictable.
One thing positive about the radical extremes of both parties is that they marginalize themselves.

US citizens don't pay taxes if their overseas income is under $82,000.

    Except if you're a US gov't employee

^ Or an NGO. OMG, is ray an NGO? No wonder nothing gets done at those wells. I had thought he was on sabbatical writing his doctoral thesis, which doesn't make sense at all either. Mind, nothing he says makes sense. Did Beth leave you, ray? Shouldn't you be Beth's sidekick or does rafiki sleep on her side of the bed now? Awwww.

Yeah, that puzzles me too. Extreme left means things like nationalizing private industries, compulsory unionization, 90% income tax on high earners etc. I've never heard anything that radical from Obama - he's just the usual luke-warm left of center boring democrat. How people can stand to hear him parrot on about 'change' when his policies are about anything but change is a mystery.

Such as health insurance, as to the tax thing depends on which day he is speaking, flip flopper.

O'Bama is pretty much a centrist. certainly not a left wing ideologue.

re health care: something needs to be done about the costs. a retiree today can expect to spend 1/3 of their life time earnings to get health care.
Per capita lifetime expenditure is (projected to be)$316,600
    that math does not work.
The Lifetime Distribution of Health Care Costs

a single payer with negotiation power for pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, treatment & ... makes sense.
as long as there are tests, there will be prayers in public schools.

US political pondering: what % of CO2 deniers are also birthers who believe kangaroos walked to the ark

Of course it does. I can't believe so many US citizens are duped by the Lobbyists- I mean when you are paying 2 - 3 times as much for health care than other advanced economies for incomplete coverage, it's pretty glaringly obvious that things can and should be improved. What on earth happened to the 'can do' mentality that the US was once admired for?
