US Liberals would be considered as Conservatives in most western democracies.

Of all my friends, the wealthiest are by far are the conservatives. But at the same time they seem to be the unhappiest as they are always whinging about things that don't suit them. My best friend since high-school is a millionaire. Retired at 38, just 16 years ago. He is on high dose medication for blood pressure and walks 5 kilometers a day to try and keep it down. Walks up to the local McDonald's through the shopping center car park every day for their free cup of coffee for the over 50's. He steals their condiments as it saves buying sugar for home. On the way back he rounds up those shopping trolleys that have a deposit coin slot for a $2 coin. He used to take them back and get the deposit, but now he has found that if you push a 5 cent piece with just the right amount of sticky tape around it into the slot, it will force the $2 coin out. Reckons he makes up to $20 a day on his afternoon walk. And that makes him happy. Good for the stress levels I suppose.

Maybe the poor leopard was just cold. But Arthur Demosh (ph) says it happened to him in his home in Jerusalem, Israel. He jumped out of bed, he actually wrestled with the leopard, held him there for 20 seconds until park rangers arrived to take the leopard away.

CHETRY: I hope that’s just euthanized. Yes or no?

ROBERTS: Well, I would think anesthetized.

ROBERTS: No. Anesthetized. Euthanized would be killed.

We disagree strongly on politics and have come to a joint understanding not to discuss the subject lest we destroy our lifetime friendship since I am a middle of the road left winger and he is a middle of the road right wing conservative.
We disagree about nearly everything in politics. Me going for the social conscience vote and him going for whatever is best for himself. Even though he is a good friend in many ways I cant respect his attitude towards life and I don't think he does either. Dieing rich ain't everything.

I have to admit, I don't quite get the left thing these days. I want to shout, hey fellas, news flash, that whole communism thing didn't work so well, get over it and move on. I mean, whats with these guys (and gals), do they really think the key to happiness is for the government to make more laws and rules to limit free choice?

Most "libs" do seem to be a whiny bunch of gloomy guses, and have a cow when ever the topic of religion of free enterprise comes up. Sorry, NR. That's buldertwat. Even Mother Theresa learned that -- take care of yourself first so you have the wherewithall to help others. Just like they tell you on the plane -- put your own oxygen mask on before you apply them to your children. I make my money and I give alot away, but I decide to whom and for what. I worked my butt off to get where I am, so why should I give my earnings to a sorryass welfare case or a fekwit admin person. A new example: I want to donate to the Burma cyclone victims, but my money stays parked until I know it's going to the folks in need, not the junta.
